Thambi Vilas in T. Nagar Is a great place.the service was fantastic and the place was super clean.It was soo easy to order ,and they deliver it in just time.I ordered double omelette and chicken 65 both were great. I highly recommend this place.

Thambi Vilas in T. Nagar is a great place. The employees are very fast and the quality of their work is top-notch.I ordered egg biryani and vegetable curry both were delicious. I also appreciate the great service I receive here.

If you like the old military type hotels in tamil nadu which are famous for their tamil spicy non-veg, then you will like this place. The decor was old style from the 80s and looked really good. They also have interesting candies and drinks (like paneer soda), which can be quite nostalgic if you grew up in chennai in the 80s. Their food was good, especially the mutton curries and meals. Try the Nalli roast (aatukal), very spicy and authentic. Also try the kadambam (a spicy roast with mutton liver and kidney). The kothu parotta was not upto the mark. Quantity of the side dishes was good for us, it is small and adequate, so you do not end up wasting or overeating. Service was a little slow, and not very pleasant. Would be good to have energetic staff. Overall cleanliness was lacking a bit as well. If they can take care of these two, this would be a place I'd like to come back when in chennai.
