I recently ordered the Cappuccino + Pasta Combo from Blue Tokai Coffee Roasters for lunch and I must say, I was impressed! The cappuccino was perfectly frothy and the pasta was cooked to perfection. The combination was surprisingly good and I couldn't help but share my experience on social media. The packaging was also top-notch, keeping my meal fresh and hot. Another cafe hunt and another tick in the list.
This is the only legit cafe in this complex and despite its low rating on one of the popular apps, I decided to visit this cafe and rate it myself.
This place has got a nice and relaxed vibe to it and a laid back atmosphere with nice use of the colors for it’s decor which mkes it pleasing to the eye.
This cafe offers some of the best and stronger coffees you can in town.
Both #cappucino and #cafemocha were strong and worth every penny I paid.
They offer #frenchfries but with a twist. Had #GarlicFrenchFries whcih were different and delicious
Even the #flatbreads sandwich were awesome, although the quantity was less.
Overall an amazing place with amazing delicacies and awesome coffees.

If you’ve ever visited our Sikanderpur café, you’re sure to have met Sheeba. She joined us in 2021 as a senior barista and is now the first woman to manage one of our 24x7 cafés.

A little known fact is that she makes delicious seviyan and is the reason so many of our customers stick to visiting the Sikanderpur café even if it’s out of their way. Did we mention she’s also an exceptional barista?

We love this video of hers for a number of reasons but also as a reminder that baristas work hard to ensure customers have a good day even if they may be having a tough one. ?

Our journey of celebrating stories close to home brings us to Khirki Extension and to Pooja at Khoj Studios. ?

What began in 1997 as a small gathering of artists has grown into a home for experimentation, curiosity, and ideas that don’t always arrive fully formed.

Since 2002, Khoj has lived inside an old industrial building. People here are drawn not just by the art, but also the architecture. Inside, five studios open into a courtyard where performances, screenings, and discussions are a regular sight. Visiting artists stay for weeks at a time, sharing work that often spills into the lane and draws in curious neighbours.

So, the next time you’re at our Malviya Nagar café, walk around. You might just stumble onto a rehearsal, a mural-in-progress, or a moment becoming art. ✨

Tiramisu cake❤️

I wanted to make a tiramisu cake that actually tastes like coffee, not just smells like it. So I started with a dark roast brewed from Blue Tokai’s Krishnagiri Estate grounds, with warm notes of oak, malt, and toasted walnuts. I used it the whole way through- in the sponge, to soak it, and for the ladyfingers too.❤️

All those layers came together into a dessert that feels rich, balanced, and properly bold. If you’re someone who never says no to coffee, this one’s made for you.?

Ingredients-

Flour 120gm
Baking powder 1+1/4 tsp
Baking soda 1/2 tsp
Sugar 135gm
Yogurt 120gm
Oil 60gm
Milk 60gm
Brewed coffee 60gm

Procedure-
1. In a bowl, mix together the dry ingredients ie. Flour, baking powder, baking soda and sugar.
2. Mix in yogurt, oil, vanilla and milk.
3. Lastly add in the brewed coffee.
4. Transfer the batter to a six inch round pan. Bake at 180C for 25-30 minutes.
5. Once baked and cooled, soak the cake in brewed coffee.
6. Add a layer of coffee soaked ladyfingers on top of the cake.
7. Finish with a layer of mascarpone frosting and cocoa powder dusting.

Mascarpone frosting
Mascarpone cheese- 50gm
Whipped cream- 100gm
Icing sugar ( optional )

As part of sharing little pieces of my story, I wanted to talk about a place that’s been with me through it all — Qutub minar. ?

For as long as I can remember, volleyball has been my life.
Wins, losses, exhaustion — I’ve seen every side of it.
And on the days when things felt too heavy, I’d always find myself at qutub minar.

Same grass. Same wind.
Just me, the quiet, and a cup of Blue Tokai.

It started years ago — after long practices or tough matches, I’d sit there watching the lights, the people, and somehow… I’d start to feel lighter again.
Over time, it became my ritual, my space to reset, to breathe.

Even now, no matter how life changes, I still go back.
Because some things — the good ones — you just don’t let go of. ?

Continuing our series celebrating stories close to home, this one belongs to Mohit and Seema. ?

In 1978, their father, Prem Ji, cycled through the lanes of Hauz Khas with nothing but a basket of cauliflowers balanced on the back of his bicycle. That basket grew into what is now known as Prem Vegetable Stand, a familiar corner that has fed the neighbourhood for nearly five decades.

Nothing here ever goes to waste; unsold greens find their way into the hands of friends or the compost pit at home. The scraps return to the soil, becoming fertiliser for the trees that shade the very street they sit on.

So, the next time you’re at our Hauz Khas café, follow the scent of fresh produce and say hi to them.
