Be it your kurta, shirt or pants, pairing the right print with the right shade and combo is exactly like fitting the pieces of a puzzle. One wrong idea and the entire picture is ruined. And I don't think anybody would want that.

So, to save you from making any fashion blunders in the future or to generally amp-up your style quotient, I compiled a list of printed apparel you should own and 18 different ways to carry them!

The ditsy pattern on a short kurta with a banded collar and rolled-up sleeves is a classic example of fusion print. This type of print can easily be pulled off at a family event when paired with blue/black denim jeans, black/maroon slip-on and sunglasses (Only if it's sunny & outside. To make the printed short kurta look even better, throw on some beaded bracelet and you're good to go.

If short kurtas spell out rustic for you, styling them with loose cotton trousers, hat and leather slippers is probably the best way to go. It's an understated look most guys don't experiment with. How To Style Printed Kurtas For Men

Be it plain or printed, long kurtas are the best way to dress-up at a traditional event effortlessly.

4. Blue Slim Jeans + Loafers

Price: INR 799

Teardrop prints are usually inspired by the Paisley style of printing which comes from European culture in the 1600s. This print on a kurta and that too an asymmetrical one is the perfect example of an indo-western ensemble. Furthermore, if you embellish this with blue slim jeans and loafers the entire look will fall right into place. Accessorizing here would be an over-compensation since the print will do all the talking. Wear this on a low-profile wedding function or office's Diwali party, and bag all the compliments you can get.

5. Plain Nehru Jacket + Churidar + Jutti

Price: INR 1,400

Another way to look spectacular in a printed kurta is by adding a plain Nehru jacket, a churidar of the same shade and basic Jutti to it. This sort of arrangement works best at an engagement function especially if you're one of the groomsmen. Now, this kurta is inspired by floral patterns, however, you guys feel free to pick any bizarre to trendy print you want. This is where all the eccentric prints will shine.

How To Style Printed Shervani Jackets For Men

Shervani might be a groom's outfit in India but when played with could also be a pretty interesting ensemble for all the main men at the wedding.

6. Long Plain Kurta + Churidar

Price: INR 3,400

Long Shervani with cuts requires a plain kurta and churidar set of the same shade. It's a royal look for any wedding or related shindigs. It's always better to wear a Jutti underneath but if you don't feel like it, I'd suggest you try leather sandals. Make it drop-dead gorgeous by adding a bling stud to the look.

7. Medium-Length Kurta + Churidar

Price: INR 3,400

Bold prints with a pastel colour palette in the base are the best Shervani jackets if you're not the groom. Light colours usually retract the unnecessary focus from your outfit and make the entire ensemble look including your hair, footwear and accessory... modest and tasteful. Avoid darker shades on the day-wedding.

8. Plain Kurta + Dhoti

Price: INR 2,900

This look is a more traditional approach towards sherwani for men. Instead of a long jacket, it's a printed blazer made stunning with a complementing kurta dhoti set and a Jutti underneath. My only advice here would be to avoid accessorizing with bold prints such as these. However, if you wish to dial it down a bit, I'd suggest going for a lighter shade, most probably pastel.

A quirky print on a traditional Nehru jacket is always a ravishing look for men who like to set trends. A plain white or maybe a black shirt coupled with black chinos/jeans and Derbys/oxfords is a winning ensemble for Nehru jacket inspired looks. I wouldn't accessorize much if the jacket has bold prints, however, shades or glasses wouldn't hurt even then.

The camouflage trend never goes out of style. Be it shirts, t-shirts or cargo pants, they have been around for a while now and we still love it. 17. Print On Print For Men

Price: INR 2,209

Print-on-print is a risky business but when done right, will fetch you unbelievable results. In my opinion, even if you choose to pair a print with another print, make sure one is daunting than the other. This not only balances the look but gives you an edge in the fashion world. This clean-cut ensemble is the best example of what I am talking about. However, with two prints, make sure you don't add other things.

18. Printed Shawls For Men

Price: INR 1,290

Whoever said the shawls are only for ladies, didn't catch this look. Printed shawls for men are a real fad these days. Every look is being made better by finishing it with a printed shawl on it. You can even pick a heavy one for wedding purposes and still fit it. Nevertheless, make sure you don't overdo the print is also your job. So, avoid these shawls if you're already slipping into prints.
