Spend a day, somewhere in the midst of hilly air, breath in some romantic fumes and relax while getting pampered with the love of your life. 1. Agra

We all know Agra inhabits the famous Taj Mahal - an epitome of eternal love and romance and one of the seven wonders of the world. Make this Valentine's Day special with your significant other by expressing your love in a grandeur setting, right in front of the Taj Mahal. Spend a day touring Fatehpur Sikri. 5. Fagu & Narkanda

Fagu is a tiny village aside a saddle-like mountain along Hindustan Tibet Road. A rare range of views is visible from here, which include vivid dales and snow clad peaks. The picturesque countryside is dotted with clusters of villages, fruit gardens and nearby terraced fields. Fog characterizes the hillside landscape endowed with romantic ambience. Most of the area is covered with conifers of Himalayan cedar and spruce. Located at an altitude of 2,450 m, Fagu, perhaps have derived its name from the fog itself.

On the Hindustan Tibet road, Narkanda offers a spectacular view of higher snow ranges. An uphill trek (8 km) through deodar woods leads beholder to Hatu Peak famous for ancient Hatu Mata Temple (3475 m) which is now connected with a motorable road. During winter, under the aegis of HPTDC, skiing is also conducted here. Kotgarh and Thanedhar, Himachal's Apple heartland famous for delicious apples are located in vicinity. 6. Pangot

Pangot or Pangoot is a beautiful hamlet situated around 15 KMs from Nainital, Uttarakhand. Walking into it offers you the feeling of one remote Himalayan village. The pleasing climate, scenic landscape and the peaceful charm of pangot gives you the experience of much tranquility unlike the chaos in the popular hill stations.  It is a “birdwatchers” paradise, having more than 250 species of birds in and around. ‘Snow Viewpoint’ and ‘Killbury’ are the most popular places for birding in pangot.  Other than the quietness, it offers adventurous activities as well. The famous trekking trails starts from Pangot and leads to Naina Peak. Treks to Namik Pindari and Nanda Devi are also very popular. 7. Darang

Darang tea estate is located mystically in upper Dhauladhar ranges of the Himalayas. It is a sprawling tea estate owned by an Indian family. 8. Chakrata

If you want to embark on a short trip with a low budget in hand, Chakrata is the place to be. Chakrata is a small cantonment town in Dehradun district in Uttarakhand. It is situated between the Tons and Yamuna Rivers, at an elevation of 7000–7250 feet, 98 km from state capital, Dehradun and was originally a cantonment of British Indian Army. Tiger Fall is the highest direct waterfall in the country. It is 20 Km from Chakrata at an elevation of 312ft. Sher-e-Punjab dhaba is a nice place to eat at.

9. Munsiyari

10. Nainital

Breath taking natural scenery, salubrious climate and mountain fresh air and snow around- Nainital would surely ensure a fairy tale romance your valentine’s day. 11. Binsar

Binsar is a scenic, sleepy and a cut-off travel destination, situated in Kumaon region of Uttarakhand state, which will bring you much closer to the nature. Located at an elevation of 2,412 mts above the sea level, Binsar is situated amidst Binsar Wildlife Sanctuary.  The main attraction of Binsar is the 300 kms of majestic and panoramic view of Himalayan peaks from Zero point. Binsar winters are very cold, and the maximum temperature during the winter months will range around 24°C. and the minimum temperature can go up to 0°C. 12. Lansdowne

Views from Tip N Top in Lansdowne in December are just as spectacular. There is winter camping that you could do in Lansdowne.
