If you’re looking to take your parents to a classy yet traditional place, then Haveli Dharampura is the place for you. A mughal-style restored haveli which stands out in the busy bylanes of Chandni Chowk, this magnificent beauty is as good as it gets. From jaw-dropping views of old delhi to traditional dance performances, the haveli does a good job in capturing the essence of a bygone era.
Do try their mouth-watering appetizers such as tomato shorba and galouti kebabs. In the main course, the Mutton korma and Malai Kofta hit the spot! Top it off with their rose flavoured kulfi which is served in a chocolate cone.
Location: Jama Masjid, New Delhi

If Italian and French delicacies are more your style, then Bonne Bouche should be on the top of your list. Beautifully decorated and sparsely crowded, this place is perfect for conversations. If your parents prefer the outside, you can always choose to sit on their beautifully lit terrace.
In the food, start with the Minestrone soup. Perfect to get that appetite going! Follow it up with the Crostini or Negroni if you’re feeling a bit adventurous, or play it safe with their crispy pepperoni pizza. In the desserts, Nutella crepes and Tiramisu would mark the perfect end to a memorable evening.

This unique restaurant is a treat for sore eyes. Each and every aspect of its decor oozes class. The outdoor seating can only be described as dreamy, and the view of Qutub Minar just adds to all the pizzaz. The music is light, which is ideal for a lunch/dinner with parents. Special mention to their staff. They’re extremely courteous and will make you feel like royalty.
Cherie is famous for its wood fired pizzas, but we also recommend their mezze platters (both veg and non-veg). Truly divine!
Location: Mehrauli, New Delhi
Cost For Two: Rs. 3200
Everything about this gem of a place is inspired by traveling, be it the globe shaped lamps, seats with bunker like beds, or the menus which look like passports. The detailing and effort that has gone into creating the ambience of this place is commendable. Spread over 3 floors in the heart of the city, this place is ideal if you’re looking for having a couple of drinks with your parents along with the food. Oh, and the terrace is absolutely stunning! (See in above pic).
The best thing about the menu is that it justifies the theme of the place. They serve dishes from all over the world. We recommend starting with the lip-smacking ‘Red and Bread’ soup followed by Aranccini, which are stuffed rice balls served with spicy mayo. Pizza Al Taglio and Burnt Garlic Noodles are good alternatives as well. In the dessert, the chocolate paan shots and the boston cream waffles are just too good to miss.
Location: Janpath, New Delhi
Cost For Two: Rs. 2000
If your parents’ idea of a vacation is heading to a hill station, then they’re probably going to be very happy with Sakley’s The Mountain Cafe. The wooden interiors give the place an earthy vibe and make you feel like you’re in the middle of a forest, isolated from the hustle-bustle of Delhi. There’s a fireplace too!
Their chicken sliders are to die for! Also try their Fettuccine chicken pasta with spinach and mascarpone cheese. In the desserts, the blueberry cheesecake, banana toffee pie and the sponge cake were our favourites.
Location: Greater Kailash, New Delhi
Cost For Two: Rs. 1350
