Teekha Chaska Chicken Recipe
Ingredients:
500g chicken (with bone or boneless)
1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1 tbsp coriander powder
1/2 tbsp cumin powder
Salt to taste
3 tbsp curd
2 tbsp oil
1 bay leaf
2 dried red chilies (for tempering)
2 medium onions
2 green chillies
2 tomatoes
2 Fasos Teekha Chaska masala packets
Fresh coriander leaves (for garnish)
Instructions:
1️⃣ Marinate the Chicken:
In a bowl, add chicken pieces.
Mix in ginger-garlic paste, turmeric, coriander powder, cumin powder, salt, and curd.
Let it marinate for 20-30 minutes.
2️⃣ Make the Masala Paste:
Grind together onions and 2 green chillies into a fine paste.
Separately grind tomatoes into a smooth paste.
3️⃣ Cook the Masala:
Heat oil in a kadhai.
Add bay leaf and 2 whole dried red chillies.
Let them crackle.
Add the onion-green chilli paste and sauté till it turns golden brown.
4️⃣ Add Tomato Paste:
Stir in the tomato paste and cook well till oil separates from the masala. Add some salt, turmeric powder and chilli powder ( optional)
5️⃣ Add Marinated Chicken:
Add the marinated chicken pieces to the masala.
Stir and fry the chicken for 2-3 minutes.
6️⃣ Cover & Slow Cook:
Close the lid, reduce the flame to low, and let it cook for about 10 minutes.
Stir occasionally so it doesn’t stick to the bottom.
Cook until the chicken turns tender and starts releasing oil from the sides.
7️⃣ Add Fasos Teekha Chaska Masala:
Open the lid and sprinkle in 2 Fasos Teekha Chaska masala packets.
Mix everything well and cook with lid close for another 4-5 minutes.
8️⃣ Garnish & Serve:
Top with fresh coriander leaves.
Serve hot with rice, roti, or dosey
