BONUS TIPS & TRICKS FOR YOUR OILY SKIN

  • You can quickly combat oiliness on your skin by blotting it with oil-blotting papers or tissue.
  • Don't over-exfoliate your skin, as this can irritate it and make your oily skin issues worse. Use a mild scrub that will get the job done without dehydrating your skin.
  • Choose a gentle face wash that will get rid of impurities without drying out your skin.
  • Use an oil-free, water-based moisturizer that won't weigh down your skin.
  • Try using a retinol-based serum at night to firm your skin and tighten your pores, which will help to reduce oil production.
  • Look for products that are labeled "noncomedogenic," which means they won't clog your pores.
  • When applying makeup, use a primer to help control sebum and keep your makeup on longer.
  • Choose oil-free foundations in matte textures to help control shine and oil throughout the day.
  • Use concealer sparingly, as this can make your makeup crease.
  • Never sleep with your makeup on, as this will clog your pores and aggravate your skin.
  • Finally, avoid touching your face, as this can transfer dirt and impurities to your skin and lead to breakouts or acne.
