<p>Volix 0.3mg Tablet contains Voglibose which belongs to the group of medicines called Anti-diabetics. It is used in the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus along with diet and exercise to improve post-prandial blood glucose levels.<br>This medicine is only part of a treatment program that should also include a healthy diet, regular exercise, and weight reduction as advised by your doctor. Monitor your blood sugar levels regularly while taking this medicine.</p><p>When used in combination with other diabetes medicines (especially insulin or sulfonylureas), it can lead to hypoglycemia (low blood sugar levels). Such episodes of hypoglycemia will have to be treated by taking plain glucose. Table sugar or common sugar will not help correct low blood sugar levels if you are taking this medicine.<br>Please tell your doctor about all the other medicines you are taking to make sure you are safe.</p>

It may take several weeks before your symptoms start to improve. You may need to take it for the rest of your life. If you stop taking it, your symptoms are likely to come back.<br /><br />The most common side effects of this medicine are caused by taking a bigger dose than you need.
