Basmati rice is the perfect choice for a quick and easy meal. It's light and fluffy, with a delicious flavor that will stay with you long after the last fork has been eaten. Basmati rice can be cooked in two ways - either in water or in coconut milk.
Cooking basmati rice in water is simple: Just add enough water to cover the rice kernels, bring to a boil, reduce heat to low, cover pot tightly with lid, and simmer for 15 minutes.
Cooking basmati rice in coconut milk is just as delicious: Add half cup of coconut milk to 2 cups of already boiling water. Once boiled, Reduce heat to low and let it simmer for 10-12 minutes until all the liquid is absorbed into the grains.
