A fine dining Italian restaurant , cafe, and a bar, Dario offers all. And on the top of it all, this they have recently added a good number of vegan dishes in their menu. The food is as authentic and delectable as it gets. The talented chef, Dario Dezio is from Sicily, Italy . The ambiance of the restaurant is fitting with enormous arches, huge windows, and outdoor seating as well. Except for the wood-fired pizza section of the menu, you have many vegan options. The Pasta, Risotto, Salads and especially the Vegan Chocolate Cheesecake are a must try!
From the Editor's Desk
Dario's Restaurant Cafe Bar is my go-to spot for quick office lunches. The Cheese Garlic Bread is a must-order, with perfectly melted cheese and a flavorful garlic spread. The service is always speedy, which is great for busy office days. The packaging is also top-notch, making it easy to grab and go. Overall, Dario's is the perfect spot for a delicious and efficient meal during a busy work day.

Farewell and thank you! As regular customers to Dario’s will know, we closed our doors for the last time in March of this year, bowing to prevailing restrictions brought about by the Covid-19 pandemic. This was not a decision we took lightly – for more than ten years our flagship restaurant in Koregaon Park had been popular with friends from all over India and from all over the world. Whether to have just a quiet cup of proper espresso, an intimate dîner à deux, or Sunday brunch with everyone – whatever the occasion, we strove to provide a place our customers would enjoy coming back to – a combination of Italian cuisine and flair, and the famed Indian hospitality. We hosted book-launches, art exhibitions, children’s parties, recitals, retirement dinners, cricket-watching evenings, and even one or two proposals of marriage. We celebrated the seasons and colours of India and abroad, decorating for the Ganesh festival, for Diwali, for Holi, Christmas and New Year. Dry days, high days and holidays – we took them all in our stride, and made many new friends along the way. Then, nine months ago, came the virus. Along with everyone else we were under lockdown, and self-isolation, quarantine, and social-distancing became the new norm. India closed its doors to the world and friends were obliged to leave, while others were unable to return to their homes, to their families. Thin times all round. And so it was with heavy hearts that we decided to call it a day. However, there is a light at the end of the tunnel for Dario’s lovers – we are open again at Poona Club for club members and their guests. Dario’s Trattoria, with its lush garden, beautiful verandah, and relaxed, colonial style, is also the ideal place to host a party, and club members or guests of club members may do so by paying club entry charges when signed in by said member. Call 9167797970 for further details. And who knows, as James Bond would say, “Never say never” – but for the moment we’d like to thank all our customers, our wonderful staff, and everyone who, over the years, helped make Dario’s Dario’s. And remember: “The family that eats together, stays together.”
