The child in us never dies. It may play hide and go seek every once in a while, but it's always there. Life is messy and it may keep getting worse. But at least that kid in you would know how to have fun with it.

 

I know adulting is hard, but what's even harder is living without your inner child. And from the looks of your busy schedule, I can see that kid leaving already.

 

Well, I will not let that happen. Let's bring it back with these 20 super-entertaining animated films that you can watch online.

 

1. Coco (2017)

The story follows Tintin, a young journalist and his dog Snowy who gets involved in a thrilling adventure of finding the sunken treasure of Sir Francis. The film is based on Belgian cartoonist Hergé's comic book series of the same name and honestly, it's nothing short of a treasure when talking about best-animated movies you can watch online.

The Lion King we grew up watching is undoubtedly one of the best-animated films of all time. There's a wonderful storyline that will surely make you laugh, cry and sing along with a lot of fun characters. Scar, a wicked lion conspires against his own brother, the king of the Jungle - Mufasa for the throne. The young heir and Mufasa's son, Simba becomes the bait. What happens next is the whole reason you need to watch this film ASAP.

There is no escaping destiny and there is certainly no escaping a beautiful story brought to life by DreamWorks Animation. A Kung fu enthusiast panda called Po is chosen to be a "Dragon Warrior" as prophesied by Master Oogway (the enlightened one) during an event in Jade Palace. Confused and untalented, the funny panda (voice by Jack Black) struggles to earn his place in the hearts of a disappointed teacher of the Furious Five, Master Shifu and other trained warriors. The only purpose is to protect the Valley of Peace from evil forces. There are more laughter and life lessons per minute than in any other animated movie.

Or in this case, missing smurfs. It's a light-hearted comedy animated film perfect for the days when you're feeling blue! (Pun intended)

 

 

18. My Neighbor Totoro (1988)

This film is a gateway to the universe of anime. Based in Japan, it is a story of two young daughters Satsuki and Mei of a professor who moves to an old house just to be near her wife who is spending her days of illness in a hospital in the area. It's only later that the sisters discover friendly wood spirits living in the camphor tree in the yard. Their further interactions unfurl the beauty of friendship and happy endings you didn't know existed. 

 

19. Raya And The Last Dragon (2021)

With an almost-entirely Asian American cast, Disney has amazed the viewers with an animated action-adventure fantasy about magic, trust and of course... dragons. The story revolves around Raya, who along with her pet pill big companion has been on a journey to save her land from the monsters who have returned after 500 years. There's plenty of adventure, magic and lessons to keep you company. 

 

 

20. The Incredibles (2004)

Saving one of the best for the last, The Incredibles is another great animated film from our childhood that belongs in our top 20 list. The story follows a family of superheroes turned regulars... turned superheroes saving the world from an evil supervillain. It's a hilarious animated movie every kid should watch. I mean, I saw this film as a child and I still can't get over the superpowers that the toddler possessed.
