Sagar Ratna is hands down one of thee most amazing South Indian places you can ever find in Delhi. It's neat and clean, the service is quick and proper and the ambience is also quite good.

I am very partial to a particular dish at Sagar Ratna which I find nowhere else - Chettinad (masala) dosa. It actually has two different dosas with a paste spread - podi and another with a green masala. They also fulfill the other major checkbox - a delicious filter coffee. Sagar Ratna also has some of the sweetest staff members who make you happy to eat there.
I had the classics which is Idli and Dosa. Idli is just so soft and fluffy and melts in your mouth completely. Dip it into any of the 4 Chutneys they provide and enter heaven. Sambar is also great with just the right amount of spice and tang. Chettinad Dosa undoubtedly, was amazing! It was huge, crispy, hot and flavourful. Honestly, there is nothing more I could ask for. I have had other dishes here too and believe me, if you are in Delhi and crave South Indian food just come here without any second thoughts. Definitely won't be disappointed. Probably the only problem could be that it is a little heavy on the pocket. But otherwise, just splendid.
