As a girl belonging to a typical punjabi family, I had a bunch of restrictions associated with me. I wasn't allowed to go out with my friends or hang out with guys.
When it came to studying for college, my relatives said I should take up humanities as this is what most girls did. I wanted to take up science and become an engineer.
I gave scholarship exams for coaching institutes which got me a 100%scholarship at Aakash Institute and I got to take up the stream of my dreams.
In 3 months I graduate with an engineering degree in Information Technology and my so called relatives couldn't be any more proud.
There are no stereotypes when you want to follow your dreams. Everyone can do everything !
