Gogji Nadur✨: A wholesome kashmir delicacy, the perfect blend of Lotus stem and Turnips in a spicy flavourful curry. ?️?
Here is the super easy recipe for this dish:
Ingredients
½ tsp. Fenugreek seeds
500 grams of Turnips or Gogji
250gms Nadur or Lotus Root
2 tbs. oil
2-3 whole Red or Green Chillies
Pinch of Asafoetida or Heeng
½ tsp. of Ginger Powder
Salt to taste
2 cups of water
Kashmiri Vaer masala (Optional)
METHOD
Cut thin slices of Turnip and Lotus Root
Heat oil in a Pan, add Fenugreek seeds and Heeng or Asafetida
Add Turnips & Lotus Root into the Pan and stir well for 5 minutes.
Add Ginger Powder and stir well
Add Salt, whole Chilli & water & cover it with a lid
Let it cook for about 3 whistles and remove the steam instantly. Give it a boil without lid for a minute. Turnips & Lotus root is cooked.
Turn off stove
Add a pinch of vaer masala (optional).
