Taste really needs lot of improvement, it is not authentical south restaurant. To make dosa is not the rocket science! The waiting time upto 40 mins is not at all fair !!

I’ve been in Amravati for the past two days, and one thing that has genuinely surprised me is the food here. Today, I went out for lunch with two friends, and the experience turned out to be a total delight.

We decided to order a variety of dishes to get a proper taste of what the place had to offer. Our spread included Thaate Idli, Masala Uttapam, Mysore Masala Dosa, Sandwich, and Chole Bhature.

Thaate Idli – Soft, fluffy, and authentic. It had that traditional South Indian touch you don’t always get outside the South.

Masala Uttapam – Crisp edges, loaded with the right amount of toppings, and served hot. Really enjoyable.

Mysore Masala Dosa – A standout in terms of flavor. The chutney and masala inside were well-balanced, giving that signature Mysore kick.

Sandwich – Good, but nothing extraordinary compared to the rest of the meal.

Chole Bhature – Hands down the winner of the table. Perfectly spiced chole paired with puffed, soft bhature – it stole the show completely.

We also tried Cold Coffee, but honestly, this was the only underwhelming part of the meal. The shakes didn’t quite live up to the standard of the food.

What really amazed us was the value for money. Even after ordering such a wide variety of dishes and eating to our heart’s content, the total bill came to just ₹830 for three people. For the quality and authenticity of the food, that’s an absolute steal.

Food is good..... Service is okay...... But they don't let you sit after you finish your meal........ They said extra charges are applied for sitting......just after after 10 mins we had our meal and paid our bill..... I understand when there is rush but there was no waiting line.... And half the place was empty. That was a huge bummer for me.
Their filter coffee was amazing.... Must try.

Worst experience. Food quality has been degraded. They are using rotten vegetables to prepare food.

I visited this place again after a long time, and the taste is as consistent as I remembered. While the sambar was slightly off, the Masala Dosa and Pav Bhaji were excellent. We also tried the Bombay Sandwich and Chole Bhature, but the dosa and pav bhaji were definitely the highlights.

Authentic South Indian heaven! 🌶️ South Kitchen serves up amazing veg South Indian food! Menu's all vegetarian and it's a treat. I personally LOVE their Rava Dosa and Butter Pavbhaji - must tries! Hospitality is nice, staff is polite and friendly. A MUST visit place when you're in doubt what to eat - you'll be sorted! You'll love the authentic flavors and the whole experience. Go check it out - won't regret it! 😍

1/5 – Completely ruined after renovation

I have been a regular visitor to South Kitchen, Amravati since their inauguration, but after a gap of about a year, this visit was a dreadful shock.
The renovation looks good, but it seems the entire staff—including the chef—has changed, and they clearly have no idea what they’re serving. I ordered a Mysore Masala Dosa and instead of proper masala, they literally spread green chutney all over the dosa. The dosa itself was thick, chewy, and poorly cooked. When I questioned them about it, the staff—and even the chef—didn’t seem to know what Mysore Masala Dosa is supposed to taste like.
The Podi Masala Dosa was even worse—so rough and dry that it felt like eating sandpaper.
To top it off, the filter coffee was a joke: overloaded with milk and sugar, barely any coffee flavor.
South Kitchen was once known for authentic taste, but now it’s just fancy interiors with zero authenticity and poor food quality. Very disappointing experience.

Extremely poor taste.
Customer service poor.
Management has no concern over poor taste and hygeine.
Just using brand name SOUTH KITCHEN AND FOOLING PEOPLE.

There was an incredibly large amount of rush, we had to wait to get a seat, we were 6 people, half of our food arrived quickly, but the other 3 dishes (although the same order) took 20-30 minutes to arrive. The food had this weird chemicalish taste initially but I guess it was just the atmosphere. 2 Stars due to the absurd amount of time (it was just a masala dosa).

I recently visited South Kitchen for breakfast, and the experience was very disappointing. My family and I were asked to change our table twice before eating, and just when we got comfortable and our food arrived, we were asked to shift again, while eating, to accommodate a larger group.

When I raised this with the staff and owner, their response was rude and dismissive, showing no sense of professionalism or courtesy. South Kitchen really needs to train its staff in basic hospitality, because good food can’t make up for poor behavior and disrespectful service.

South Indian cuisine can never be matched when it comes to breakfast, and south kitchen seems to have met the expectations pretty well. The taste served is above par, quantity is generous and service little more than good. What I personally like about the restaurant is it's early opening in day, which goes perfect with it's style. Recommend it highly (or atleast for one visit), if you are looking for morning south Indian bites.

Well you go at early morn or late night theres something special about the place. The food looks so fresh..tastes so good..its just perfect.. im not a rasam fan but south kitchen is an exception..dosa, Filter coffee, idlis including all the different varieties brahmin idli thaat idli etc.

I ordered butter idli it was amazing.... They served me fresh idli... Was good in taste.....

I also tried masala dosa but i didn't liked it.... It wasn't tasty i didn't get authentic taste in dosa....

Ambiance is good... But  they don't have enough parking space.....

One of the finest restaurants in Amravati serving authentic south Indian food. Service is super quick. Food tastes delicious. Rates are reasonable. Staff is attentive and friendly. Open butter masala dosa is a must try here. Also, thatte idli tastes lip smacking delicious ❤

Good place to eat south indian food.
The taste is typically south. Most of the dishesh are available. They serve it also aesthetically.
Hotel was clean hygiene was maintained. 9 tables for non-ac and 6 for ac. They only one washroom so you have to wait if it is occupied.
Cutting one star because it is expensive. Price can be little lower. Idli Sambar was of 80 rs and extra idli is for 55 bucks.

South kitchen have good range of South Indian food but taste is not up to the mark. Service is also very slow and not have enough parking space as well.

It is a very nice and a very calm place to have food.
Most important parking is also there.
