A tiny town wedged between Bangalore and Chennai, Ambur’s claim to fame has always been its biryani and leather products. Having first been cooked in the royal kitchens of the Nawabs of Arcot, the popularity of the biryani has only grown over the years. Many say that it is a unique style of preparation (the meat and the rice are first cooked separately, and then brought together in a sealed, ‘dum’ vessel) that infuses the dish with delicious flavours. If you don’t want to burden yourself by driving down to Ambur, just join the crowds at Koramangala’s Ambur Biryani Point.

I had the Chicken Biryani at Ambur Biryani Point and it was really delicious! The rice was flavourful and the seasoning was perfect. Highly recommend to anyone who loves biryani.
I visited Ambur Biryani Point and was impressed by the quality of their meals. Their Khuska Rice was especially good, cooked to perfection. Not too spicy or salty, the flavour was perfect. Highly recommended this restaurant!
