My partner and I visited this restaurant today (14-02-2026) and I must say that we had one of the best culinary experiences ever. The place was heavily crowded this afternoon being a Saturday. As we didn’t come with a prior booking, thus we had to wait for around 15 minutes. We agreed to have buffet lunch as this was the only option. It started with Tomato Soup and Buttermilk that was served on the table. For starters, there were large options consisting Chat, Dahi Vada, Sweet Corn, Veg Cutlet, Cauliflower Pakoda and the likes. In the main course, there were South Indian, North Indian as well as Chinese dishes. Each item was carefully cooked to keep the authenticity in place. Lastly, there were around 8 to 10 different types of dessert served at the counter. It is to be noted that this restaurant not just serves vegetarian food but also satvik food (foot without onion and garlic).

Well, I have to admit that our buffet lunch at ‘The Higher Taste’ inside the ISKCON Temple Complex in Bengaluru yesterday (Saturday - February 14, 2026) was the best culinary experience of my partner’s and my life. Plain, simple, Satvik, and unbelievably tasty - all the items on the buffet spread were breathtakingly tasty. While we had to share a six (6)-seater table with another family of four (4) people, we hardly were bothered in the process. From the soup to the desserts, all the items were methodically curated and arranged. Since we did not have a prior booking, we had to wait for about half an hour. That apart, we loved the experience, and we shall be back here for sure!

This is the near perfect restaurant to go to after visiting a near perfect place of worship - the Iskcon temple on Chord Road. The food sould be called divine, even more than sattvik. The Chef and his team are obviously blessed generously by Lord Krishna. The resataurant is spic and span, the service from the moment you approach the entrance (manned today by Mr Mannar whose face radiated goodness) to the durationof our meal was of the utmost kindness and dediction to duty. Hospitality institutions could take their students for a practicall class on great, humble service to customers. Every item of food was remarkable tasty. The spread would put any other buffet serving restaurant to shame. Pritam Deb Barman and Tushar are about the most pleasant and thoughful people one can ever hope to look after a group of guests. Vist the temple, eat at Higher Taste - both are truly Godly. At the cost of sounding a bit of a rebel, I have this suggestion for the management. Our classical music genre - both Carnatic and Hindustani - has a huge cache of music dedicated to Lord Krishna and Lord Rama. The place is in Karnataka, the land of Purandara dasa, who spent his entire life singing of Krishna. Why not play vocal and instrumental choices from our music instead of just Hare rama Hare Krishna? The latter may be the signature tune of Iskcon, but there is more to singing about our Gods than just that.
