A romantic Valentine’s evening at Saffron, Radisson Blu – Outer Ring Road, Bangalore.

Our evening at Saffron began with a beautifully curated table setup that instantly created a romantic and refined atmosphere. Rose petals scattered across the table, fresh flowers in a delicate vase, soft candlelight, elegant glassware, and heart folded red napkins added a thoughtful and intimate touch. The entire setting felt warm, sophisticated, and perfectly aligned with the spirit of Valentine’s Day. We paired the meal with a selection of wines and drinks, which complemented the flavours wonderfully and enhanced the overall dining experience.

The culinary journey was well paced and indulgent. The Shakkarkand Ki Tikki was crisp on the outside with a soft, flavourful centre, served with chutney that elevated every bite. The Chenne Ki Chaat offered a delightful balance of sweet and tangy notes with refreshing textures. The Gosht Badami Shorba was rich, aromatic, and comforting, setting the tone for the courses ahead. The absolute highlights of the evening were the Murgh Chandi Tikka and Mahi Khas Tikka. The Murgh Chandi Tikka was incredibly tender, beautifully marinated, and packed with balanced smoky flavours, easily one of the best tikkas I have had in Bangalore in a long time. The Mahi Khas Tikka was perfectly cooked with delicate seasoning that allowed the freshness of the fish to shine through.

For the main course, the Murgh Dhaniya Korma delivered a fragrant, coriander forward gravy that was creamy yet not overpowering. The Nalli Rogan Josh stood out with its deep, slow cooked flavours and melt in the mouth mutton. I paired the Awadhi Murgh and biryani with the Nalli Rogan Josh, and the combination was indulgent and absolutely satisfying. The evening concluded with a charming Heart Shaped Chocolate Cake, adding a sweet and romantic finish to a thoughtfully crafted experience.
