I visited the Airtel store with my sister after she was wrongly charged ₹20,000 for international roaming — something she never activated. Despite raising complaints through the Airtel app, emailing customer support, and visiting multiple stores, there was no help or resolution.

Eventually, we were told that the charges were because 100+ SMS every day were sent from her number to invalid numbers — which is shocking because she doesn’t even use SMS and this is humanly impossible. We tried calling and messaging those numbers ourselves, and they were indeed invalid.

When we asked for assistance, the staff were dismissive and refused to share any real explanation. On asking the employee’s name, they hesitated and finally said “Anuj” — we’re not even sure if that’s genuine.

If Airtel had any sense of customer service or accountability, they would’ve investigated or initiated a refund process. Instead, we were told “it is what it is.”

This experience feels like a scam —

Roaming was never active.
SMS were sent to invalid numbers every day.
No customer support or verification was provided.

If this can happen to a loyal customer of 15 years, imagine what a new customer might face. Please be careful — Airtel’s practices are deeply disappointing and unfair.

Worst service and staff behaviour. I visited the airtel store today as my mobile network was down. The staff behaviour was really unprofessional. They treat customers as they favouring them by providing them services. Lack of promptness.

Visited the shop today.
I had problem of eSim transfer to new phone. Had read quite many negative reviews of this shop, however onhthe contrary, the staff were very courteous and well experienced. They resolved the issue without any hassles and quite quickly.

It was good to see that one staff was assigned duty of only welcoming customers and directing them where to go.

My personal experience is worst that ever. I have ordered Airtel WiFi+ DTH and I have been assured that installation will be done withing 24 hours of payment. Its been 72 hours or 3 days since I have made the payment. Every morning I see new engineer has been assigned and but rarely they aswer any call. Yesterday assigned engineer told me that connection installation will be late but it will be installed by EOD. But in evening he switched off his phone. Today I see new engineer has been assigned and now he is saying that, he is not in lucknow.
What a pathetic service you guys are providing.

I am very angry, I had visited the store 3 times but still my sim has not been activated. A new sim / connection is activated within few hours but but old sim in which the wrong data has been entered by the Airtel executive, will take 48 hours for activation. Making a fool of the customers. The problem occurred because of ur executives,and still the customer will suffer. Is this customer satisfaction that you people talk about.
The problem could have been resolved immediately, but no, they said it will take 48 hours. You are telling utter crap. After mailing the desired documents a phone call could have been made to the back end team for resolving the issue immediately, but no effort was taken.

Store is good except the staff who are least interested in dealing customers. During my visit to the store and after waiting for around 25 min I was told about shortage of staff. If this is the case with store where either staff shortage or the staff is disinterested in attending any customer, then the airtel admin or HRD should look into it.

Worst experience, employees were busy with their own phone calls something personal only. Not at all attention to customers. Bad experience

Airtel staff rudely behave If you ask me something, he doesn't talk properly

Today I Visited an Airtel Store,There I Found Very unprofessional behaviour demonstrated by the staff. They should get trained for customer friendly communication. Store was not properly organised and staff were not very keen to understand customers' problems.When I Enter To The Store ,The Person Who Attend Me, was so much Un-Professional and I ask My Query 6 Time And He Is Ignoring Me and start Talking With Her Female Colleague.

Airtel executives don't follow any ethics. They work on their moods and their personal priorities. I was standing in line for a long time. I believe some person might be known to executive suddenly came to shop and the executive started to help him just because she knows him. She literally ignored me although I was standing at the first position in the queue. This is highly unethical. I don't know her name.

This is total time waste store. I visited replacement of DTH DB but they didn't replaced and told you have to pay Rs. 3,300 for new connection.

Rude staff. My mother who is a senior citizen was denied Sim change 2 days back to back.

Inspite of She was told that she is carrying a Voda Sim and that she should visit Vodafone center.

Next day she was told that she is not eligible.

Past many months the network is so poor that to make/take anh call i need to go to an open area from my house(ps my house is in the center of the city). Worst possible 5G, cant even make a simple whatsapp call.
Made 4 complaints and all went to deaf ears, they are making mockery of the system and fooling the subscribers. Government intervention is needed to bring these guys to a task.
Dont go for airtel.

Charged money for duplicate sim.....when Airtel sim is not working it's Airtel fault.....then why are you charging for new sim.......airtel's way of making money by making old sim network less.....will surely complaint about it to TRAI site....and will raise complaint on consumer forum also....

Horrible customer service, the staff was completely clueless about the packages and rules. I wonder how Airtel is training its customer facing employees. Special shout out to a guy called Aman who made me waste 15 minutes calling customer care in the airtel office itself

This is a very stupid service..Staff is not there during duty hours. No time to talk to the customer. I will call you first and you will get it. When you come and ask me to get the SIM, the process has not been completed yet.

I have visited this place to issue a new sim card as my Old post paid sim was damaged and lost network.
My problem was not resolved at one time.
I had to visit twice to resolve my issues.

Would have given Zero or negative stars if it was possible as the staff there has way much rude attitude towards customers. it has been a month since i complained about payment not posted against my number and till date they haven't resolved the issue.
