Very bad exp.i had  i called them before leaving Goa and they told me bed is available..so after climbing the stairs with my heavy bag the guy in the reception is telling me that he got no bed...i mean u should have informed properly about your property and its a vefy unprofessional manner by your receptionist and please teached him hoe to speak nicely...won't come back again...seems like you guys are action u have the only hotel,dorms in the area....

Very dirty place.  Never visit.  You are coming here for relaxing and what you get the bed bugs..... If any one needs the bedbugs place then you can visit here it's fully loaded with bed bugs. Your hole night will be spent with hunting the bedbugs.

My stay here was very pleasant and i had great memories here along with that i made many new friends. And all the staff is really cooperative and helpful. They made great quality and tasty food and serve with a smile which makes this stay beyond expectations.

Bed bugs!!!!!! Like you will lost count of them... It's that bad.

Worst hostel ever ... I can write everything about it which was wrong. Starting from the care taker to the sheets full of bed bugs. And also it's on the fourth floor without any lift.

I tried informing about it to the caretaker but he didn't care to even give me a different bedsheet.

It's full of cockroaches,bedbugs and unhygienic.
I'm still recovering from rashes all over my body.

They cancelled my online booking of single room & then offered single bed in dormitory which I had to take bcoz of paucity of time.
Pros-
1) cheapest rate
2) nice locality (gateway of India & hotel Taj  within 5 min walking distance)
Cons-
1) on 4th floor. NO ELEVATOR. You will curse your decision to book here every time while climbing those stairs.
2) water shortage after 10 am. Out of 3 available only 1 decent bathroom.
3) NO AC DURING DAY. AC time- 10 pm- 6 am. You just can't stay there during day.
4)they can & they will cancel your online booking if they have customer infront of them paying in cash.

Book only if you are looking for cheap single night stay.

Fair enough for the amount they charge. Even, though the washrooms are fine and clean. Getting a budget dorm at the most expensive property in Mumbai- South Bombay is worth staying. You are just a corner away from Colaba Causeway.

Sometimes, you'll face the problem of walking off the stairs, it's narrow and this is the fourth floor. So, a long way to walk. AC dorms/rooms are a personal suggestion. Even the locker space is good to keep your belongings safe.

You can negotiate with the person for a longer duration and he is generally ready to give discounts for a longer stay like a week or so.

The location is good. But the beds are and rooms are not cleaned there are bedbugs and cockroaches.

Very small and crowded dormitory. Seeing that it did not met our expectations, my friends and I tried to cancel our booking, but the receptionist refused point blank to give us or passport back (I guess he was trying to retain us). Ultimately (5-10min of heated discussion + call to a manager that was not helpful at all) he gave our passports back.
I do not recommend this place.

A great little place in south Mumbai!! The place is clean, the price is fair, the team is very friendly and even help me with my visa situation (Cform) for foreigners.
I truly recommand this place as its well located and even pretty quiet for Mumbai!!

Pros : Very close to the Gateway of India. So if you want to catch the sunrise, it's the best option. The hostel is above cafe mondegar which is a very popular location.
Cons : The rooms are too crammed. I got an upper bunk bed and the AC vent was 10cm from my face. And the fan was also very close that if I bend my legs accidentally, high chance I'll get hit.
To reach, we have to climb 4 floors through narrow stairs.

Its not one step, more than 100 steps (on the 4th floor) to reach ''one step hostel''. The hostel is very near to Gateway of India, colaba market and churchgate is 1.8 kms away. It's good for 2/3 days, multi sharing hall bed is at 350/- per day(no food). Single rooms are also available. AC is timings from 10pm to 5am. We should ask them when water is not coming. We should ask free WiFi, otherwise they won't tell. No washing allowed.  Water bottles available but 20/-  rupees per bottle. We can find the stairs backside of the bus stop (till first floor wooden steps).

Nice place to stay. It is a dormitory. Best recommended for group of boys. I don't recommend a group of girls or couple to stay here. Located at the center of the city and accessible to all the famous places nearby. It is a little hard to recognize this place from outside as it is located at 4th floor of an old building.

It's good place I alwys prefer to stay there but Abdul he alwys cheat me, if he ask another person 350 and for me 400 that made me write this review..for this rate colaba stay hostel better , plz visit that place compare to this...Abdul cheating 100 won't make you rich, but you loose customer..

There was no privacy at all, washrooms had leak, ac's were only operational during the night, it's affordable for someone who is on a tight budget, consider this place if you just want to come and rest, you get a locker, all in all it was below par, you get separate rooms and dormitory shared by everyone, this is a only boys hostel so consider it, location wise it's great because it's in colaba causeway, the main Market street of colaba and gateway of India is just a 5 mins walk from here

If you are looking for reasonable price of value for stay and came here for couple of days (only male) then this hostel for you guys. 2km from Churchgate station,
Downstairs Colaba market.
Clean, good staff, wifi, storage space.
It's on 4th floor without lift otherwise all things are good.

perfect for budget travellers.. the rate is very cheap and its air conditioned although not 24/7 but ac is there when you need it.. one of the noticable things about the hostel was its very neat.. the staffs were always on it cleaning the area at regular intervals.. also the bathrooms were also clean and they have adequate number of toilets and bathrooms.. the only problem with the toilets were the water pressure, sometimes it drops to very low stage and its difficult to use but its not a problem at all because once you complain the staff about it they do the necessary changes very soon.. also the place does not have water filter they serve bottled water only and they charge like 20rs per bottle so that's a negative to look into.. another problem was the hostel is located on the 4th floor and you have to walk up through 107 steps to reac the floor and it was very tiring..
But the location of the hostel is perfect it is withing one or two min walking distance from the taj and gate way of india and also the ferry service to the elephanta island.. you cannot find a place this cheap,neat and with a/c anywhere near..

If I talk about the one step hotel/ dormancy feedback . it's really gud for any know or unknown guy.there no security issue, location is vary fantastic 🤩,do not distriburbing anyone as.price is also pocket friendly as the location........... Sandeep singh rajput [mathura]

Good : amazing location next to hotel Taj and gate way of India, budget room/bed.
Bad : no lift(the hotel is on 4th floor), rooms are very congested (16 beds in main dorm), no safety, no privacy.
