Absolutely in love with the South Indian restaurant Sagar! The dosa was finger-licking good, and they offered plenty of chutney options. The staff were sweet and very quick at their job — the food arrived in just 5 minutes! The Apollo Pharmacy next to it has a wide range of products, including Cetaphil, which I needed. There’s also a shop called Archie’s that has toys and lovely books for children.

Defence Colony Main Market is a vibrant and upscale spot offering a great mix of shopping, dining, and lifestyle experiences. From trendy boutiques and bakeries to fine dining restaurants and cafes, there’s something for everyone. The market is clean, well-organized, and perfect for an evening stroll or casual hangout. Defence Colony market is a very nice place overall. I usually go to only two spots there:

1. Little Dragon – a sweet food van, good for quick bites.

2. Defence Bakery – highly recommended. Their cakes are delicious, especially the jar cakes. You can pre-order or buy directly, and the bakery menu has many great options for sweet lovers.

Overall, the colony and market are well-developed with plenty of food options. If you enjoy exploring food places, this is worth visiting.

This parking main is from MCD. Parking rate is Rs 20 ph. We were there for 2.5 hours. He was charging us Rs. 180, saying that it is Rs. 60 ph. He showed some fake picture to us on his phone. We told him the rate is incorrect, to which he said that on Sundays, it is Rs. 60 per hour (it is Saturday today). Then, finally when I asked him for his name & to let me take a picture of the bill on his phone, he said we seem to have a sticker for Def Col (which we don’t), so rate is Rs. 20 ph. SCAM

Def Col Market is nostalgic for us Columbans...we humg out in the early eighties and checked out each and every nook and corner here...with our favourite Moets and Aka Saka and Sagar Ratna....

No old charm used to come in college days..

Defence colony is not the same buoyant market as it used to be. Market looks less attractive.

Good posh place for a quick visit, beware the parking scams. They will purposely try to extract parking fee from you which is invalid, valid fee is ₹40.

The small market of Defence Colony has some great finds: Restaurants, bars, grocery stores, wine shops, florists, clothing stores and even an art gallery. It can get pretty packed on weekends, so if you’re looking to spend an evening here, we suggest you take a look at what’s on offer first. P.S: The nearest metro station is Lajpat Nagar.
