Fiber Optics Labs Model FOL-102

Model FOL-102 is a 1-32 zone perimeter intrusion detection controller that is easy to install, configure, and tune, yet remains sensitive and reliable. The installation of the cable on the fence is quick and simple. Each of the 32 zones can be individually tuned and covers a range of up to 500 m in length. The insensitive lead can be up to 20 km, which allows the controller to be located in a controller room far from the sensing zones. The system uses sophisticated frequency and timebased algorithms for detection and advanced background rejection leading to superior Probability of Detection and a low nuisance alarm rate. Intelligent background rejection removes the effect of undesirable factors such as wind, rain, thunder, vehicles, trains, planes, etc. In addition, the User Interface is developed to be intuitive and with a high degree of automation to make it highly user friendly. The system can be used on most flexible and rigid fence perimeters. Lead-in capabilities allow for sensing to start right on the fence while the system is installed inside a control room or installed outdoor. The system reports the alarms through 32 zone relays, one for each zone, or TCP/IP interface via XML. The system can be configured using a USB port with a configuration software running on a PC. Alarm history and time/frequency data are also accessible for configuration and tuning.
