One of the oldest and authentic place to buy coffee in Pune (since 1974). Kumardhara has been providing coffee to many iconic restaurants and coffee shops in Pune. They have 35-40 types of Indian grown coffee mix and includes some of the exclusive ones. They primarily sell coffee beans but also provide grinding of beans as per texture required by customers. Along with coffee one could get some south indian authentic spices, rice, uncommon packaged food from south states etc.
Another speciality here is a small coffee experience joint. Once can get to enjoy a freshly brewed coffee as per his/her choice from the large variety of options.
The place is located near Goodluck chowk in a very narrow bylane between two premises, one of them where Greetwell was located earlier. Exact location would be behind Tiranga restaurant which is near to the petrol pump. Parking is a bit difficult to find due to busy road.
It's a must visit place for every coffee enthusiast !

This establishment is around for more than 50 years. They have many flavors of coffee beans from the western ghats.

I had a chat with the roaster and he mentioned that they were roasting the beans for the past 4 decades.

You can pick your favorite coffee beans and make a personalized blend. They have chicory powder too. So you can have chicory to your blend.

Today i tried their plantation blend and it was good. I am planning to try their Mysore nugget and  HSD beans.

I am from Pune but I was not aware of this amazing shop before. They have been selling filter coffee for more than 5 decades. They have a wide range of coffee bean options to choose from. Everyone is very friendly and nice to talk with. They provide very good information. They also have special packaging for taking coffee abroad.

The best place in Pune to get the best fleet coffee powder. There is a lot of variety of coffee beans here, you have to choose your favorites and create your own customized mix. The whole thing is then grounded in front of you and you have your own customized coffee powder. There are also a lot of other South Indian food ingredients here.

This is a newly opened outlet of Kumardhara which serves filter coffee only. A small glass of coffee costs INR 40. Coffee is god, taste is typical south Indian but price seems more, probably double. Has seating for 4/5 people.

ingredients and some basic and classic  coffee filters. Great place for all who like coffee. They also provide a convenience of delivery of coffee products, great thing which can help you order stuff online if you dont stay in pune.

Good beans- however terrible attitude with choice of offers. If you ask for a differently roasted bean- answer is NO. I got a large piece of metallic object with the beans I purchased the last time and that has ruined the grinder in my automatic expensive DeLonghi Coffee to Beans machine. Expensive repair has made up for the inexpensive beans. I am totally and utterly disappointed and disgusted. Never again for one with this poor quality control.

After reading all the positive reviews i went to the shop yesterday but the kind treatment i got has left me very disappointed in them.
1.they have a place whr u cn taste coffee bt fr a price of 40rs even though it should be free as they can give just a small amount to taste so that the customer cn make his/her mind before buying just like its done in malls but for some reason they dont do it its totally 5n but i was charged 80rs for cup of coffee just becz i asked fr a blend of plantation and robusta while robusta costs 77rs/100gm other one is 92.5/100gm which is less whn compared to one cup of coffee....even though it was a blend bt the amount of coffee required was same it was nt like they were gonna double it and i cnt find any logical reason behind it and feel cheated/looted
2.All the people.who say owners are friendly and suggest you the coffees and blend according to your taste preference but nor i was given any suggestion but evn was refused the blend i askd for i.e. i asked fr a plantation+robusta 100gm blend so they could have easily calculated the amount based on 50gms each but they straight forward refused it and asked me to buy 100gm of both seperately which would cost me more almost double. Why should i buy it when i have already tasted it and want the same blend but in lesser quantity and minimum 100gm is thr policy so it was according to it .
I came all the way from chinchwad and m not so wealthy m a normal.middle class person so i jus cant go n buy each coffee separately jus for my love of coffee i went there and thought i wuld be treated in a better way bt not jus i ws looted for.a small cup of coffee but aslo refused the thing i askd for. whats d use of me tasting the coffee if i have to buy them seperately so i culd hv jus spend the 80rs fr 100gm of coffee.
So may b their friendly behavior is only for the people who buy in bulk i.e. wealthy ppl not for the normal ones.
So if u have money and r willing to buy in bulk or bigger quantities u might get better treatment.

I’ve been buying coffee beans here for years, and this is the place if you’re into real coffee. The staff are super friendly, especially all the Kakas—just ask them for anecdotes, and you’ll leave with a smile along with great coffee.

Coffee Lovers Must visit this place has ample coffee variants freshly grounded coffees and the owner is also very polite and humble.

Have been getting coffee grounds from here frequently. The owner is helpful and suggests blends to try out. The newer Coffee lounge is also a neat idea. The timings are a bit constrained though.

I usually visit this place for ground filter coffee. They provide good advice on the proportion of coffee beans to be included in the mix. They have a wide selection of South Indian goods. Good experience overall .  They also gifted me a souvenir on having completed 50 years this year (2022). Wishing them well for the next fifty years of service and prosperity.

Amazing! Coffee Beans are powdered in front of us, weighed & packed within about 2 minutes only!! The aroma of freshly ground Coffee greets you even before you reach the shop entrance!!! My favorite-French Coffee (which also contains Chicory). I've heard Robusta's good, too, maybe I'll try next time. Reasonably priced, this shop's a heaven for Coffee lovers. Although digital payments are accepted, hope the card-swiping machine works, though..

I take Premium coffee every week, for the last 5 years. When it is fresh it is the best.  But few times I got stale coffee. And the shop keeper will ridicule you for telling him about it instead of acknowledging. Deccan shop.
