Corian Acrylic Solid Surface Sheet

Material composition and characteristics Composition: Corian consists of approximately 1/3 acrylic polymer (PMMA or PolyMethyl MethAcrylate) and 2/3 natural minerals, with the primary ingredient being alumina trihydrate (ATH), derived from bauxite ore. Homogeneous: Corian is a homogeneous material, meaning its color and pattern are consistent throughout its entire thickness. Non-Porous and Hygienic: Its non-porous surface prevents liquids, bacteria, mold, and mildew from penetrating, making it easy to clean and highly hygienic, a key reason for its popularity in healthcare and food preparation environments. Seamless Appearance: Corian pieces can be joined with a color-matched acrylic adhesive, creating virtually invisible seams that can be sanded and polished to a smooth finish. Durable: Corian is a durable material that resists stains, scratches, and impacts, withstanding the rigors of daily wear and tear. Repairable: Unlike some other countertop materials, minor cuts, scratches, and stains on Corian can be repaired, often by the homeowner using fine sandpaper and abrasive pads.
