Every millenial went through a crazy Taylor Swift phase. Quite frankly, a lot of us are still stuck there. By choice, of course! We love her for so many reasons. Her discography ranging across multiple genres, her narrative songwriting (which is often inspired by her personal life), and all the relatable lyrics she gave us to vibe on.

I remember being "22", trying to fill the "blank space" in my life and "chasing wildest dreams" only to realise I can do all of this "all too well" with Taylor Swift on my playlist.

If you share my fandom for T-Swift even today, here's a list of her top 10 songs that will take you down memory lane.

1. Crazier

Album: Taylor Swift

"You lift my feet off the ground, you spin me around... you make me crazier, crazier, crazier"

You probably heard this song in another Hannah Montana movie we watched as teenagers. It's a romantic number that is more like a warm hug than a song. Taylor Swift actually wrote, sang and performed the song as a "woman singing in the bar." Taylor Swift also contributed to the movie and soundtrack of the song "You'll Always Find Your Way Back Home," which was performed by Hannah Montana.

2. You Belong With Me

Album: Fearless

"... All this time how could you not know baby, you belong with me"

Do you remember crushing hard on someone back when you were little, way too shy, to express your feelings? Well, you were not alone. Taylor's song is also about wanting someone who is with this girl who doesn't appreciate him at all. The song's promo won the 2009 MTV Video Music Award for Best Female Video, beating Beyoncé's, "Single Ladies (Put a Ring on it)", amongst others.

3. Red

Album: Red

"Losing him was blue, like I'd never known... missing him was dark gray, all alone... forgetting him was like trying to know somebody you never met, But loving him was red"

A folksy banjo in the intro, relatable lyrics, colours to describe everything we go through in a relationship. You know it's a classic Taylor Swift song when you have everything I just mentioned and more.

Red sold 1.208 million copies in its debut week, which was more than any album since 2002 when Eminem sold 1.322 million copies of The Eminem Show in its first seven days. This means that Taylor became the first woman ever to have two million-selling weeks since SoundScan started keeping track of album sales in 1991.

4. 22

Album: Red

"...Yeah... we're happy, free, confused and lonely in the best way, it's miserable and magical... oh yeah"

You know you're an adult when you stop relating to these lyrics, but still, secretly wish to be 22 again. But you'll be happy to learn that Swift actually dedicated the song to two of her close friends, actress Dianna Agron and singer/actress Selena Gomez.

5. Love Story

Album: Fearless

"Romeo, save me, I've been feeling so alone... I keep waiting for you, but you never come, is this in my head? I don't know what to think... he knelt to the ground and pulled out a ring, and said"

Like most of Swift's songs, "Love Story" was also based on a real experience. As a teenager, she had an argument with her parents over a boy - they thought was a creep. And Taylor thought it was love. She told 60 Minutes that he was, indeed, a creep, but she thought he was amazing at the time. Swift also won video of the year and female video of the year at the 2009 Country Music Television awards for this song's promo.

6. Blank Space

Album: 1989

"... darling I'm a nightmare, dressed like a daydream"

This song was a #1 hit for eight straight weeks after its release and why wouldn't it be. "Blank Space" is everything a misunderstood soul looks like. The song itself is fun, sassy, and quite frankly funny and ironic to Swift's own personality.

7. All too Well

Album: Red

I can't quote the song because it's written: "All too Well".

One of Taylor Swift's finest narratives, this song was recently extended and released as a short film starring Sadie Sink and Dylan O'Brien. What's crazy is, this song was originally a vitriolic and bitter 10-minute tirade Swift spat out during a soundtrack on her 2011 Speak Now tour. She then edited it with the help of collaborator Liz Rose.

But the cat's out of the bag, right! The video is so beautiful that even today, I watched it twice, maybe thrice. And even though it's rumoured to be about Jake Gyllenhal, it still doesn't take anything from the song.

8. I Knew You Were Trouble

Album: Red

"I guess he didn't care, and I guess I liked that, and when I feel hard, you took a step back, without me"

Did you know that this upbeat number was previewed by Taylor Swift herself on the October 8, 2012, episode of ABC's Good Morning America, even before the album came out? Just like others, this song was also rumoured to be about Swift's unsettling split with John Mayer, but she cleared the air at the 2013 MTV VMA's when she turned her ire on another ex: One Direction's Harry Styles.

9. Lover

Album: Lover

"Ladies and gentlemen, will you please stand, with every guitar string scar on my hand, I take this magnetic force of a man to be my lover"

Compared to Swift’s “Reputation,” this song is a part of Studio Album, which is more playful and covers different emotions. But the fantastic thing about this song is that it does not touch one emotion but different ones at the same time.

10. Shake It Off

Album: 1989

"Cause the players gonna play X4, and the haters gonna hate X4, baby, I'm just gonna shake, shake, shake, shake, shake, I shake it off, I shake it off"

Shake it Off is the first single from 1989, where Taylor Swift dismisses her haters amid the false rumours that have circulated since her 2012 Red album. The song was inspired by how the country-pop princess has learned to deal with all the hate as a pop star.
