When the city was under complete lockdown and the doors were shut away in the fear of the pandemic, each and every one of us was practically living in a virtual relationship with our BFFs. Inside or out... Our best buddies have been keeping us sane since the beginning of time. In this day and age, it's only important to keep your best people around for as long as the time allows.

And now that Delhi is slowly getting back to its regular hustle-bustle, there are places you need to forge ahead for a fun BFF coffee date. Keeping in mind the safety measures, we've shortlisted 7 cafes in Delhi that would do. Nothing fancy... just you, 4 months of lonely smut, gossip from around the world and your best friend forever...

Delhiites frequenting Diggin already swears by the scrumptious food we get to taste here but to know that it is one of the options for your next coffee date is a different kind of comfort. The open-air section, dreamy vibe, cosy interiors accompanied by enticing cocktails, coffees, teas, burgers, pastas, pizzas and a friend in-deed is without a doubt the perfect recipe for a fun coffee date. Be sure to click all the selfies while you can.

Lit, whimsical, outdoor seating, book-reading corner, a mid-century stone pathway, hot & cold coffees, cocoa and more... We can list a hundred reasons to choose this place for that long due coffee date but I think these are enough to make the sale. Make it memorable by ordering some of their special dishes such as open toasts, sandwiches, pizzas and scrummy desserts.

Proudly sitting in the midst of Aurobindo Marg, Cafe Tesu has a bewitching menu of freshly baked desserts and Mediterranean flavours. And if this wasn't enough, the place looks as dreamy as fairyland and offers around 10 special coffees, a number of bespoke tea blends, iced teas along with other heartfelt cold brews. Get some of their culinary action in the form of Delis, Sushis, Eggs Made On Order and enjoy with your date. You're welcome.

A reliable paradise for tea lovers and bookworms all the same, Cha Bar is the first cafe that pops in our head while strolling in the depths of Connaught Place when too tired to continue. L'll Bites, English Tea Sandwiches paired with decaf, diet, typhoo and endless other teas to choose from will be a bliss you'll remember for always. The pocket-friendly nature, minimal decor, delish food and friendly tone of this place makes it the ultimate spot for a BFF reconnecting session. And don't forget to check out the Oxford Bookstore before you leave.

Premised in Saket, Rose Cafe is as pretty as they make them. Delightful interiors, soothing colours, gorgeous garden area, a separate menu for vegans and comfort food so delicious that you'd never want to leave this place. And to top-it-all of there are coffees, iced teas, herbal iced teas and more to sip on. Also, their Shephard's Pie is exquisite and desserts are quite scrummy. Do try.

When just coffee isn't enough to spill the tea, wine and other cocktails help. Perch Wine & Coffee Bar will do just that for you. Kick-off the fun evening with your BFF with some delicious food, delectable beverages, a lot of gossips and most of all Coffee Sangria on the table.

Travel back to London in the '70s when tea was a real fad; both in the cup and in life. And we don't suggest a journey across oceans but till Lodhi Colony; if you wish to spoil your BFF with the most delicious desserts and high teas in town. And while you guys catch up on all that's happening in the world, don't forget to admire the exquisite piano kept at one corner and the timeless grandfather clock on the other.

Even the most boring corners of the world seem interesting and fun if you have a BFF by your side. And thank god for these cafes in Delhi NCR because trust me they are worth a visit.
