You won't be able to take your eyes off this beautiful ancient royal pool with an unbelievable architectural style. There is a courtyard in the front with a dome-like roof and small windows within various balconies along with a rectangular pool made of bricks. It was constructed by Achyuta Raya for the women of the family of Vijayanagara. It was used as a bathing chamber of the kings and his queens.

This one stays open all day, it's one of the famous religious sites in Hampi situated at the top of the Anjaneya Hill - Birthplace of Lord Hanuman. It's 4kms away from the Hampi Village, the best way to reach to Hanuman Temple is through boating and then climbing up the stairs to reach the temple. Climbing up to Hemikunt Hill Temple Complex is comparatively easier than climbing up to Matunga Hill. You'll be able to witness a panoramic view of Virupaksha Temple after reaching your destination. Vitthala Temple is also known as Vittala Temple - It's an ancient monument known for its unmatched craftsmanship. It's one of the largest architectural structure in Hampi. 15. Visit The 3 Meters Long Shiva Linga

Inside the Badavilinga Temple lies the largest monolithic Shiva Linda in Hampi. It has a three-eye mark carved on it in line carving. It depicts the three eyes of Lord Shiva, it's located near the Lakshmi Narasimha Temple. Several tourists flock to this temple throughout the year.

HAMPI is a monumental world heritage precinct and a vibrant center for contemporary pilgrimage – where history, the natural environment, mythology and everyday cultural practices are closely interwoven. The museum, this spreads across a very few galleries. The first one offers an introduction to Michell and Fritz’s project, including some landmark photos that they took: in the center of the room is a circular satellite photo of Hampi, with the major sites and areas marked out on it. There is, of course, a brief introduction to Hampi and the powerful Vijayanagar Empire itself.

17. Don't Miss Out On This Underground Siva Temple

This temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and was built many meters below the ground level. The core parts of the temple are mostly underwater - restricting entry to most of the inner areas. There is a water canal system too which is visible around the main temple but the canal remains dry.  There are wide large steps which leads you to the inner part of the temple. It's one of the oldest temples in Hampi which you can't miss out on.

18. Wildlife Tourism Has A New Name - Daroji Bear Sanctuary

Home to sloth bears, Daroji Bear Sanctuary is spread to spreads over 82.72 sq km.  There is a watchtower within the sanctuary, opposite Karadikallu Gudda, that provides a vantage point to view the bears descending from the adjacent hillocks during evening hours. Although this place is hard to reach but is a must visit a place where you can find animals in there natural habitat.

19. Let The Serenity Of This Beautiful River Absorb You

Away from city life lies the Sanapur lake which is a reservoir fed by the Tungabhadra river dam canal. It is a calm site where you can sit for hours and let the serene absorb and calm you. It is a great place to enjoy in the company of your loved ones, while you are at it do give coracles(local boats) a shot.

20. Adore The Beauty Of Tungabhadra-Dam

It's also known as Pampa Sagar which is constructed across the Tungabhadra River. It's a tributary of the Krishna River. It's a multipurpose damn which serves irrigation, electricity generation and manages flood control as well. It's unbelievable as to how beautiful it looks if one witness it from a height as nothing beats the beauty of gushing white water flowing inside the dam.
