Silhouette

Silhouette is nothing but a specific cut according to which a dress is made. Not just a fancy name to the shape of an outfit, it's more than just being out of the dictionary. A Silhouette is more specific to altering and creating flattering illusions about the client's body shape. More commonly used for bridal attires, they can be of 3 basic categories apart from the modern twists and tweaks, the Sack, the European and the American Cut, and either of these can camouflage, highlight or subdue any body shape as per your requirements.

Hemline

This one can be a serious head-turner if you do it right. For a hemline, the lower edge of a skirt, a coat or a dress and however controversial it may be, it has been often used to define the length of these attires. To put it across more explicitly, it's the height of your Hemline that gets the real attention. There's even a hemline theory that came out in the 1920s, "shorter the hemline, stronger the economy".
