This splendid tan sling bag was adorned with an all-over crocodile print texture, as well as gold chain detailing at the hand strap. It's a compact yet spacious, classic yet gorgeous bag that's versatile enough to add magic to a casual daytime outfit and a dressier night time avatar, with equal ease and elegance. I say that with a lot of conviction, because I personally paired the bag with a desk outfit followed by a date outfit to see how it complements both. And it did so seamlessly with both the looks. Here, I opted for a dark olive plunge neck button-down with my timeless pair of navy high-waisted wide-leg trousers. This is one of my go-to outfits for work, especially for when I want to look good without hunting through my entire closet. So naturally, first up on the agenda was to see how well this bag would accompany my work look.

Now, I'm not going to lie and say I went into the office with nothing but a sling bag. But I decided to put all essential items like cash, lipsticks, sanitiser etc into this sling, and carry my laptop bag alongside. Through the day, I found myself sneaking glances at my outfit every chance I got, and admiring how classy this compact tan sling looked on my dark solid outfit. I also got several compliments, not just because of the appearance of the bag, but because of how handy it was to carry things I need to reach for quickly, in an easy snap open sling bag. In all honesty, I couldn't stop fawning over the heavy touch of luxury this sling added to my otherwise simple outfit!

This is one of my all-time favourite night-out outfits for when I'm headed to the bar with the girls or for a romantic dinner with my partner. Since the colour scheme, material and vibe of this clothing pair was a far departure from the one I wore to work, I was intrigued to find out how this bag would sit with a more romantic, feminine look.

As you can evidently see in this image, the sling paired remarkably well with this outfit. The tan colour of the sling coupled with its lavish crocodile texture, can seriously amp up any outfit in virtually any colour scheme, however neutral or bright it may be. Although, full disclosure, here I decided to carry it as a stylish handbag instead of wearing it as a sling. To my surprise, this sling fulfilled both the roles exceptionally well. I also really loved the sparkle of gold in the bag when paired with this outfit, because I truly didn't need to stack on any other accessory whatsoever!

A lot! Don't be deceived by the looks, the bag may look compact and itsy-bitsy but it can hold an assortment of your essentials. These are the items I generally carry when I'm stepping out for the night, all of which fit into the bag without any struggle. The only thing missing was my wallet, but since I carry a large oversized leather wallet, I'm very used to it not fitting into most sling bags. To this one's credit, it almost did. The bag also has helpful compartments, so you can keep your items separated and stash your money in the innermost pocket.

To Sum Up

If you've read this review so far, then you probably already know how I feel about the Janette sling. I think it's absolutely fabulous to look at, super handy to carry, and extremely practical in its space and divisions. The bag can also double up as a small handbag as well as a sling, so you can wear it across your arm or crossbody. Standing at a price of INR 2,499, I think the quality and brand assurance you get with this Ceriz bag makes it a total steal. So, ladies, if you're on the lookout for your new favourite sling bag, the Janette is definitely more than a worthy contender!
