Ordered a takeaway from Kothanur KFC using the KFC Official app. This is my first visit to this new store. Here goes my review:

The store is located at a strategic location. The building had parking and is visible from the store.

The store was well maintained. The staff was very courteous and supportive. The store has ample seating of different formats: 2 seaters, 4 seaters, 6 seaters, high rise chairs.

The packaging for the take away was environment friendly and good.

I recently had a highly disappointing experience at the KFC Hennur branch. I placed an order for a Classic Chicken Box Meal, a Rice Combo Box Meal, and 4 pieces of Hot Wings (Order ID: 2466). Unfortunately, the food quality was far below expectations.

The chicken was clearly spoiled, and it appeared to have been overcooked in an attempt to mask the unpleasant smell. The taste and texture were unpalatable, making the entire meal unenjoyable. This level of food quality is unacceptable, especially from a reputed brand like KFC.

Moreover, the customer service added to the frustration. A staff member, rather than entering my mobile number for billing, chose to input her own number without any valid explanation. This lack of professionalism and disregard for customer preferences is disappointing and concerning.

I hope the management takes immediate action to address these issues, both in terms of food quality and staff behavior, to ensure a better experience for future customers.

The outlet that I went to is quiet, well maintained and very noticeable. Right now construction work is making it less accessible though. Clean shop and staff is well behaved.

Now about kfc as a whole:
Normally this is a pricey place that keeps increasing price and keeps decreasing quality.
However, on Wednesdays, you get the specials. That is well worth the price. I go here on Wednesdays and it has been great so far.
Any other day, it's not worth the visit.

After long time I went with my family to dine in at KFC. And the reviews are as follows.
Pros:
- KFC was one of our choice when it comes to dine outside.
- They usually have multiple choices,  as well as indianised menus.
- I visited KFC at Hennur
- Fortunately,  this time the crowd was quite less. And we were able order quickly.
- And was promised 4 - 7 minutes for delivery.  Well the reality I'll explain in the cons. But I like the new (fake ) promise 7minutes. Because most of the restaurant asks 15 to 20 minutes of waiting period.
- the ambience is good and the service is ok.

Cons-
- KFC usually serves tasty food, but this time the periphery chicken wings was blant. Probably, the chicken would have tried to run 🏃‍♂️ 🤔.
- OK the ambience!!! Yes good but the seating which we (family) chose was filled with water droplets. Later we came to know AC vent had problems.
- so we (family) moved to the adjacent seat.
- as far as the service part, the counter girl promised 4 -7 minutes. After waiting for 10 minutes, I asked her about the order... she  said 2 minutes. Well. after another 10 minutes we (family member) went and asked for the order... pickup area person made us wait for few more minutes and then finally we (family)  received our order.
- well good experience KFC, if not near future surely we (as a family) will visit you unsure. 😀

Had the worst service treatment yesterday after ordering KFC for nearly Rs1500 amount.While placing down accidentally I spilled 1 cup of pepsi so as I was with children,I went to the counter and informed and requested if 1 refill can be possible (of course I can buy it)but just wanted to request but the attitude and the response of the staff ('you only spilled it!")left me spellbound and shocked.. they didn't even come to clean also..after that my mood was fully off even to eat. I spelt the drink accidentally and not purposefully and which does not happen often so I felt if courtesy are shown in these exceptional cases, it would be sweet and moreover, attending and cooperation from the staff side in such a case as is highly required.

We arrived at 9:30 PM requesting dine-in, but the staff strictly refused, claiming the outlet was closed. When we inquired further, they said stock was empty—yet Zomato delivery agents were actively picking up orders. Shortly after, we spotted a rat running inside the restaurant. Despite this, two other customers entered and dined in without issue. Finally, the worker clocked off duty and dismissively told us, “If you want, go ahead and eat,” before leaving disrespectfully.

I'm highly disappointed with my recent experience at this KFC outlet. The French fries were extremely overcooked and tasted awful. It was evident the oil used was stale, as it was smoking while cooking.

To make matters worse, the staff member handling the food had no gloves on and was visibly unhygienic—scratching his arms and even itching his ear with his hand. This is unacceptable in any food service environment. I urge you to review your CCTV footage from the specified time (1st May 9:30 pm - 10 pm to confirm this.

The overall hygiene at the outlet was poor. The air conditioning was not working, making the environment uncomfortably hot. I was directed to place my order using the self-ordering machine near the entrance, but out of the two machines, one card-swiping machine was off, and there was no staff around to assist.

In comparison, Burger King offers far better service—there's always someone to help with orders, and their food quality is consistently good, especially the fries.

This experience has left me with no intention to visit this KFC outlet again. I'm attaching a photo of the staff member in question for reference. I strongly recommend better hygiene training for your team and improvements in customer service

My bad last two times same thing has happened and today I ordered again unfortunately since this branch is near to my location.. Very very disappointed. Faced racism here, being a person who stayed in bangalore for so long I never expected it would happen to us.

The whole story goes like.
I asked the manager for chicken popcorn without its masala mix, he told me it would take 10 minutes, then I told him okay no need, give the regular one only with the masala mix as usual.
After ordering we read a promotion saying if food is not served in 7 minutes we will get a piece of chicken free.

10 mins later I went very politely to ask for my popcorn only(not even the free chicken)
He said it's because of your special request the time. I tried to explain to him that I told u no need of that special request because it would take time.
He wasn't willing to listen and called me a liar. And was very very very arrogant to me. I simple asked him what is that promotion.

And then said, you just want a free chicken no?

That hurt me very badly and made me feel petty. I told him I dont want any free chicken of yours. I just want the popcorn that I paid for. Hearing the manager be so rude, my friend joined and the three of us got into an argument. My friend is not from karnataka and neither am I. We stay here because I'm proud to call this place home, my family lives here.

An old man interfered unnecessarily and gave very rude comments against us for makin a scene and I asked him calmly to please not intervene, this is the manager's attitude issues and arrogance.
Then when I spoke back to the man, many other customers joined and yelled at us how can we speak against the old man and to respect age.

They grouped against us harrased us, abused us pointed fingers and said shut your bloody mouth. After sending my friend out to cool I went back to explain to the people, what happened, and I came to know that none of them heard the old man, just heard our reactions and intervened because they were all locals of the state.

And none of the management did anything to help or stop the issue,
Instead asked us to get out and tried to silence us.

I wanted to go to the police for this, but decided not to.
I'm willing to comply and give any information from my side to the KFC team including the manager's name and employee ID.
However I will not share that here.

I have been abroad for half my life and I tell you, the food, service and everything is soo much better there.
I can never call Indian KFC as KFC. It feels very insulting to the original.

I had a very upsetting experience at the KFC Hennur outlet on 28th October 2025. My friend and I placed an order through the self-order kiosk, and when we politely inquired about the “7-minute or free chicken” offer displayed on the screen, one of the staff members named Barkhath  responded rudely, saying “Oh, so you just want free chicken?” His tone and attitude were extremely disrespectful and unprofessional.

When I tried to address his behavior and asked for a refund, he refused and arrogantly claimed to be the manager. The situation escalated because of his attitude, and instead of calming things down, he made it worse. To make matters worse, other customers joined in, shouting at me while I was left feeling cornered and unsafe.

This entire experience was distressing and humiliating. It was not just poor service, it was harassment and intimidation inside your outlet. I’ve already received my refund, but I’m bringing this to attention because employees like Barkhath need disciplinary action for such unacceptable behavior.

KFC must take this seriously and ensure no other customer goes through such an experience.

I visited the KFC Hennur Road outlet around 10:45 pm today, but the store staff informed me it was closed — despite the official closing time being 11:00 pm. I even requested a takeaway since dine-in was not possible, but that was also declined.

It’s disappointing to see the store shutting early, especially on a Friday night when it’s the weekend rush. Kindly ensure the stated operating hours are followed.

Terrible experience at this KFC. The chicken wings we were served were clearly stale and had a foul, rotten smell. We had to send them back immediately. We were compensated with another burger but this experience has left a sour taste. You pay a premium price and receive rotten food in return. It just feels like a complete rip-off. Just avoid this outlet and KFC altogether.

Just returned from this outlet rejecting an order 3 mexican zinger pro burger meal ( Rs.1000) after seeing such small burgers that has no value to the amount paid. Highly unstandardized products, varies a lot from one store to other. The guy at counter agreed to refund money but only after 14 days.

Another shocking thing I observed today was they still use palm oil. So cheap to do by such high level food chain. I found this when the guy was showing me the stock list to prove that the bread they used is of some standard size.

I read somewhere that KFC moved to rice bran oil from palm oil some 7 years ago in India. Cheaters, playing with life of people.

I request FSSAI to take stringent action on KFC, probably ban this chain in India.

The quality of burgers provided by KFC in other countries like US, UAE are of much better quality than what they provide in India. I don't know why such third class service here even though they charge almost the same price (adjusted to power to purchase parity).

KFC should shut their locations in Bangalore. This particular one is notorious for giving bad service and bad quality food. I placed an order on the app and one, the order was placed wrong on the app and i never received my food. two, it's been 10 days I'm chasing to find a solution. Their store number never works. The customer care mail has the worst response. Just horrible. KFC could learn a thing or two from EasyBites that's right around the corner. Honestly, I pray this outlet loses all their business to EasyBites and shuts down.

This restaurant is a fraud. I had ordered 2 classic zinger butgers and a bucket I had ordered 2 classic zinger and bucket chicken via zomato.
I received only one burger which was stale see pictures attached and the bucket which was suppose to have 10 pieces had 9 pieces. When I tried calling the outlet the number didn’t work then I informed Zomato and they told me the store was not validating
My kind request to customers to beware and raise this issue with the health department. The chicken in the burger was stale. I’m going to write this on Twitter and also tag the health and food department

I am deeply disappointed with my recent experience at this KFC outlet. The staff behavior was extremely unprofessional and disrespectful. I am unsure if this treatment was specific to me or if all customers are treated this way.

A cashier named Jess (as per the name badge) took my order at the billing counter but did not pass it to the kitchen. Instead, she and her colleagues — Sana, Kadhir, and Darshan — were busy eating pizza (outside food) inside the store. Ironically, while customers are prohibited from bringing in outside food, the staff themselves were openly consuming it inside the kitchen area.

After waiting nearly 20 minutes, I went to collect my order, only to be told it was not placed. When I confronted them, Jess denied taking my order and rudely asked me to email the manager. Eventually, she served my food, which had been sitting on the kitchen table for several minutes. Shockingly, she did this without washing her hands after eating pizza.

Additionally, I observed multiple outsiders (presumably staff friends) entering the kitchen without proper uniforms or hair caps, which raises serious food safety concerns.

This entire experience was extremely disappointing and not what I expect from a reputed brand like KFC. I urge the management to look into these issues seriously and ensure better hygiene, professionalism, and customer service in the future.

When we asked the staff they said it's ON .Then later after 10 mins of sitting we asked about the AC , then they decided to switch the AC ON . Why do they have to lie ??

Placed an order through the KFC app from the Kothanur branch and it was a truly disappointing experience. The order was delayed for over 3 hours with no useful updates, and finally, it was cancelled without any delivery or explanation. The customer support was completely unhelpful — hard to reach, unresponsive, and nobody took responsibility for the issue.
This entire experience has wasted my time and spoiled my plans. If KFC values its customers, it urgently needs to fix both its delivery process and its customer service. Would not recommend ordering from this branch or using their app based on what I faced.

Visited this KFC outlet recently, and the food was shockingly bad — probably the worst I’ve ever had at any KFC. The quality, taste, and freshness were far below standard. This is the first time I’ve had such a disappointing experience at a KFC.

I have collected the item on the specified time but the quality of the chicken is very bad. Stops are ok but wings and HC chicken pieces had a foul smell.

The team was very unprofessional. We ordered hot and crispy chicken along with French fries, but the food quality was horrible. There was an extra hard layer on the chicken, and the French fries were overcooked. It seemed like this outlet didn't prioritise food quality. Additionally, cleanliness is not a priority, as the outlet isn't cleaned often.
Furthermore, there is no AC or fan, and when asked, the staff mentioned that they were not working. This is not an acceptable response. It's probably better to order from another outlet.

very very poor quality of burger delivered few min back today. Bad KFC joint. I don’t recommend to anyone. BIG CHEATING GOING ON IN MY NEIGHBORHOOD.

Had to wait for 40 mins for a take away because of the card machine not working , system not working , finally they realised machine not working . Paid by G pay, I hope they staff are trained properly.

Poor customer service. Never epected from KFC.  We entered at 10:52pm and it took a while to get familarise with new order machine, in between,  some said, they cant serve us any more.
Dont keep such rough guys at the outlet as responsible who dont even speak to the customers with due respect.

One of the worst experience in KFC..the outlet was extremely hot ,AC was not working. The bucket chicken was absolutely taste less it was just like eating boilded chicken (okay with ketchup ) will never visit this outlet again. 😠

Needs a lot of improvements in the outlet..
No toilet exhaust fans provided, bad smell in the dining areas, careless staff due to lack of supervision.
Food quality also like on and off Sometimes they cook well.. often cook's chicken too much oily.

I was disappointed with this  outlet experience.  Expecting the first KFC  outlet in Bengaluru Brigade road taste. Near lulu Mart, another fried chicken available that is far better this outlet.

This place is not well maintained, the tables chairs are dirty, i ordered roll, which was frozen and was not properly heated, burger buns were not fresh,.. and AC was not functioning, this is the 2nd time we visited this place thinking the situation must have improved , but it is same.. so if  you want hygiene then pls avoid KFC near BYG, kannur.

Orders placed through app are not honoured, worst zinger burgers of my lifetime were prepared at this store. They gave burgers with skin flesh and without any sauce. will never visit again.

I gave the food one star because I have trust issues on how hygienically it's prepared.
There's a tall guy named "Prashanth", he walks around the kitchen and handles food bare hand, I saw him carry two chicken pieces on each bare hand from the back kitchen and dropped them into a customer bucket and he had been casually walking around using those bare hands for mobile and back scratching 🥲
Once you get in through the front door, you have to pass the washroom to reach the counter, and the washroom was stinking so much yesterday, I had to hold my breath to pass by to reach the counter.
All of this happened at night time on Thursday.
Would prefer the nearby Leon Grill anyday instead of this cheap outlet.

The team is very unprofessional, very bad service I ordered for 6 pieces of hot & crispy along with this had taken other items also it was take home but when I came home and opened 3 pieces are missing. They charge too much for one piece. After all it's not only about the money when we are hungry and can't cook we order food but when we come back home ad see this is the situation very very disappointing. These people are always same only when we dine in they serve completely. When it is take home they play they reduce and parcel it. This is not the way to make profit manager have to check on this. I will never visit this place again very bad staffs taking money and cheating.

I honestly thought that it must be my feeling that the quality of the chicken was bad until I read the comments for this outlet. It seems like they are running some scam. This is the only outlet where I've noticed the coating on the chicken was so hard, I spent half my time and energy on chewing it. This outlet will single handedly shut down KFC. Yuck. Worst part was I got this for a family function what a horrible experience. Everyone asked me if it was actually KFC.

I had ordered food from this branch several times through swiggy/Zomato. Each time i received stale food. I raised complaint through the base apps I see no results coming. same thing repeated today as well. I decided to write a review whichever the app i used to order the food eventually the was packed from geddalahalli branch KFC. As usual i received pathetic food where the chicken looks pinkish as it's not fresh. Chicken will always gives white texture only when it's fresh. Chicken stripes are shrunken as it's old. French fries hard and brown as they re-fried  the older stock. For the chicken they added too much of salt and masala so that we shouldn't identify as it is stale food.

Kindly help me with this. I need refund for this.
