The food lives up to the setting well-presented, flavourful and thoughtfully prepared. Definitely worth visiting if you appreciate good food in a sophisticated setting.

Torte, a restaurant with beautiful interiors and beautiful food.
The ambience is truly 'Instagram-worthy,' with elegant chandeliers and soft lighting creating an inviting atmosphere. Whether you prefer the cosy indoor setting or the breezy outdoor seating, the restaurant offers both options to cater to your mood and occasion. The staff is friendly, professional, and provided us with a warm welcome from the moment we stepped in.
We ordered the spinach and ricotta ravioli, grilled chicken, the Lemon Lamington Cake and the Swan Dessert. The food was presentable, and each dish looked like a work of art.
The disappointment was mainly due to the lack of taste in the food. It seemed as though the focus was more on aesthetics than on delivering a satisfying taste.
The spinach and ricotta ravioli, while beautifully presented, felt a bit bland, and the grilled chicken didn’t quite hit the mark either. The best we liked was the Lemon Lamington, its unique and refreshing taste stood out as the best dish of the night. The Swan dessert is the one which most of you must have seen in Instagram reels and photos, but trust me, this just looks good, but does not have any good taste to it.
Overall, while Torte delivers on style and ambience, the food doesn’t justify the price tag

A very honest review: The restaurant is super fancy, with super fancy menu. But I found it exorbitantly expensive for the quantity or the value it offered. It offers a very European menu with good expensive ingredients where the dish really looked like top notch European restaurants,  but still I felt the understanding of real European food is quite lacking. For example, the avocado croissant sandwich was soggy because of excessive "wet" ingredients fillings and because they use the same fluffy croissant that you have with coffee, for the sandwich. I mean, in a fancy place like this, you expect them to know that you need a thicker dough croissant for making a sandwich with juicy ingredients or have lesser filling.

I'm not saying that the restaurant is bad. It's definitely worth a visit once. And some dishes were really tasty, like chicken kafir lime. And their deserts look like heaven. But some of their savory dishes are not on point.

And honestly,  I find 500 Rs for coffee or a mocktail unnecessarily expensive. After all, its not a 5star hotel with world class trained chefs.

We tried this new spot recently with a bunch of friends, and honestly, it didn’t quite hit the mark—especially with the kind of prices they’re charging. If you’re going to keep the menu expensive, the service and food really need to be on point.

One small thing that stood out right at the start—we were four people, and they served just one tiny bread basket. We politely asked for one more, but the staff said no. I get policies, but come on—it’s the hospitality business. A small gesture like that could’ve made a big difference to the experience.

Here’s what we ordered:

-Golden Arancini– Fried risotto balls with cheese and tomato sauce. Sounded promising, but honestly, it was just okay.
- Phyllo Wrapped Brie– This felt like a fancy spring roll filled with blue cheese and coated in honey. Way too sweet for our taste.
- Avocado Croast with Poached Egg– This one we actually liked! Croissant sandwich with avocado and a poached egg on top—fresh and flavorful.
- Kaffir Lime Chicken- Nice marinade and great salad on the side, but the chicken itself was a bit dry.
- Cold Coffee- Tasted like a dessert version of tiramisu. If you like your coffee sweet, you’ll enjoy it. For us, it was too sugary.

They don’t have a liquor license yet, and the food menu is pretty limited. They have a huge range of desserts, so if that’s what you’re into, it might be worth checking out just for that.

All in all, the place has potential, but for now, it felt like style over substance. Hope they iron out the service and food balance soon.

Delicious and aesthetic food. I loved every dish, beautifully presented and full of flavour. This café is owned by Kusha Kapila, it has a chic yet cozy vibe. The menu offers a modern European dishes and the desserts are a must try. Great for brunch, coffee dates or just relaxing in a stylish setting.

Had a very nice experience at torte with pretty nice food and drink options..the place is a bit tight I would say but other than that it’s a must visit place

I went to try this place after seeing reels on IG, turns out it was really nice. There were a pool of desserts to try from, everything looking so pleasing to eyes 😍 We also tried the falafels and the hummus was creamy and smooth.
They give you a bread basket which is complimentary.

Special mention to James who was the sweetest server, helping us with recommendations. Would love to visit again and try more desserts

Torte in Sector 58, Gurugram is a lovely date-night spot with a celeb touch (co-owned by Kusha Kapila). Went with my fiancée and tried the baked chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream — rich, warm, and delicious, though I wish the ice cream portion was bigger. It took a while to arrive, but worth the wait. Prices are a bit high, but the taste, vibe, and pretty interiors make it worth a visit. Bonus: it’s not just desserts — they also serve full meals and drinks!

Everything is pretty but lacks taste.

It seems almost the entire effort is put into making everything look nice for the camera. The photos you see on social media are all this place is good for.

We had avocado croissant, rigatoni, madelein, and chocolate pastry. The best was avocado croissant. Rest all, meh at best.

The ambience came across as confused to me—it's a dessert bar but the music was loud enough for it to be a regular bar, the seating is felt very restaurant-like and the approach to service very felt café-like.

The menus were overly verbose with not much being conveyed; the floors were sticky and the stairs in between are not clearly marked (causing a tripping hazard).

Most disappointingly, the desserts were very average and did not feel fresh—the cookie was VERY dry and chalky, and the cheesecake felt repetitive and average.

I asked for the cookie to be packed and was quite surprised to find it be put directly into a brown paper bag (they did comply with my request for it to be put into a box afterwards, though).

This place is literally a desert bar. It has a lot of varieties of desert from chocolates to cakes to pastries. They also have a wide range of food menu options

The place looks nice but the quality of desserts was disappointing. Taste was below expectations and very very average. There was no depth of flavour just overload of cream and chocolate without any flavor. For the hype and price they need to do a way better job than a standard pastry place.

Still dreaming about the Floating Swan at Torte, Gurgaon. Pure elegance on a plate — and every bite was even better than it looked!

Nice place with good food, friendly service, and a comfortable vibe. I’d go again.

When to not go for this restaurant
1. If you want to celebrate your birthday
2. If you want fancy stuff (Not tasty) and want to pay more for that as well
3. If you go to a restaurant just by watching that a social media star made it so it must be good
4. If you are into Vegetarian food (Considering just 1-2 veg item under each category)
5. If are into drinking 120-150 bottle of sparkling water and wanna pay 500 instead for it

One good thing was the complementary cheesecake they gave or should I say the cake we brought ourselves.

Absolutely loved this restaurant! 🍰 They have a vast variety of desserts and even serve freshly made pasta. The ambience is cozy and charming, making it a perfect spot to relax on chilly winter evenings. Definitely a must-visit for food and dessert lovers!

Would not recommend. We ordered two desserts  recommended by them. First of all the place is crazy overpriced..secondly both of the desserts were not good at all. I hv had better at very basic bakeries.
