I walked into ShearInsight Salon, Electric House, Colaba Causeway like a regular person – calm, confident, thinking, “It’s just a blackhead removal… how bad can it be?”
Oh ho ho, little did I know I was about to be cast in a full-blown Karan Johar skincare epic.

The moment the aesthetician pulled out that metal instrument – you know the one that looks like it was borrowed from a Mughal-era torture chamber – I should’ve known.
One poke and bam! my past sins flashed before my eyes!

“Aaaaiii maaa!” I screamed internally (and maybe a little externally), gripping the sides of the bed like a full-on Bollywood heroine in labour.
Blackheads were being evicted like villains from a 90s Govinda disco fight scene.

Then came the emotional climax. As each stubborn blackhead popped out, a single tear rolled down my cheek.
But the ShearInsight staff? Calm as ever. Sweet smiles, steady hands – like seasoned surgeons of skincare – scraping the very soul out of my pores without missing a beat.

And then… silence.
Peace.
The storm had passed.

I looked in the mirror and gasped.
My nose was smoother than Ranveer Singh’s freshly waxed chest.
My skin? Glowing brighter than a Diwali diya dipped in rosewater and redemption.
