It arrived as a curious stranger on colonial ships, a pale bloom from a distant land. But in the fertile embrace of Barrackpore’s soil, it found a new home. We didn't just adopt it; we transformed it.

We took the English cauliflower and gave it a Bengali soul. We tucked it into the golden, flaky pockets of hot Shingaras. We let it soak up the ginger and cumin in a slow-cooked Dalna.
