I had a terrible experience at Govindas Restaurant. We order for pure  jain food  & they served us non jain food The staff was very impolite and did not help us. We waited a long time for our food. When it finally came, the service was slow, and the food was not good. It tasted stale and old. I do not recommend this place at all. Save your money and go somewhere else!

Govindas Restaurant offers a wide variety of dishes but unfortunately, the quality is not up to the mark. The food lacks flavor and freshness, and the service is slow. It`s best to look for other options in the area for a better dining experience.

We visited the restaurant on Saturday 13/1/24 night around 9.00 P. M. The restaurant was stinking with mix aromas of different food varities. We set at the first floor. The make shift pantry arrangement next to toilet block and dirty curtains  used by waiters/customers to make passage was disturbing site. Having come, we just ordered Tomato and Coconut  Uttapam. To our surprise, thickness  of the uttapam was like the papadam we eat. The sambhar was too sour and the chutney was too salty. We had never expected that our order would be served such a way! However the uniform of waiters also didn`t appear clean. 
This is just ordinary restaurant . Request to improve . Hare krishna.

The place offers nice vegetarian food at affordable rates. We started with the Minestrone soup, which was nicely prepared. The addition of pasta to it was a new surprise for me.
We then went for corn cheese balls, which were round spheres filled with nice corn cheese filings and deep fried. These were served with a nice dip

The variety was very good, and there was no chance of leaving hungry as the waiters returned regularly offering to top up anything and everything.
A very interesting way to sample unfamiliar food.
value for money and the ambience was really good.

Staff at Govinda's express at Chowpatty are extremely rude especially Mr Suresh and discourteous. When you give them a feedback they do not take it seriously and in fact will take out your fault. Have escalated this matter to various Iskcon temple so they are aware of how the management handles the issue. We shall further escalate this matter if there is progress in the behavior of the staff if they are not following the philosophy of Krishna consciousness. 

Good place, delicious food and value for money. 

Best Veg food .... tried masala chole & mix veg curry ... I appreciate the quality and quantity ..

WAH 🚀! Just had an UNEXPECTEDLY EPIC meal at the Govinda's - didn't know food could vibe with divinity like this 🪔🍴!

🔹 *Jini Dosa*: Twisted, cheesy, and LOADED with fillings! It was like a party in my mouth 😮. The dosa was crispy, the cheese was melty... chef's touch 🧂!
🔹 *Benne Dosa*: Soft, buttery, South Indian heaven!. The benne (butter) was rich and aromatic - loved it!
🔹 *Farm Fresh Pizza*: Wait, a farm-fresh pizza inside a temple? 🤯! Toppings were fresh, crust was spot on 🍕. Got the vibe that the ingredients were picked fresh for the temple devotees... felt special!

Eating amidst the temple's vibes, felt like a foodie blessing 🙌. Service was super attentive 😊.

This is the best experience I've had in Mumbai! While at Girgaon Chowpatty, I was looking for fine-dine restaurants nearby and this is the place where I ended going.
It was indeed a supreme pleasure visiting this restaurant, with a blissful and divine ambience. Hats off to their hospitality and service!
Now, about the food; you can blindly pick any of their dishes and it's going to give you an unforgettable experience.
Dish that I tried and would definitely visit again to have it is their exotic Harinaam Chintamani Pizza. And believe me, if you're a foodie, you'd end up in tears of joy while enjoying the richness of this dish!

This place is squeaky clean. Even washrooms and wash basin here shines. Very nice ambience and great place to visit with family. Right next to iskcon temple entrance.
Coming to most important part - the food is delicious and freshly cooked.

What we liked-
1. Tomato soup - this was really fresh and served with soup sticks which again was fresh and crispy. My kid enjoyed this too.
2. Manchow soup - piping hot, perfect for winters.
3. Pink sauce pasta - this tasted perfect , had nice veggies too. My kid loved this.
4. Aloo paratha - this was served with chana sabji and curd. This was good too.

What we felt could have been better -
1. Ghee sada dosa - dosa was ok ok ,  chutney was ok ok too but sambhar wasn't that great.
2. Cheese masala dosa - This i had asked to parcel and I actually forgot to verify the contents before leaving. This has masala missing. But taste wise this at least tasted better than plain dosa as we had asked to make it soft because of parcel.

Quality wise taste was good. But quantity was not so worth. Service was good but slow. Miscommunication while taking orders if the restaurant is crowded.

Our experience at Govindas Restaurant was very poor and frustrating. The service was extremely slow and careless. The staff showed no interest in serving customers—we had to repeatedly ask even for the basic necessity of drinking water. There was no proper staff coordination, and nothing was served on time.
The food quality was far below expectations, especially considering the high prices. The pizza was bland, underwhelming, and not at all worth the cost—a regular Domino’s pizza tasted much better than this so-called fine-dining option. The guava mocktail was misleading, as it tasted exactly like orange juice with no guava flavor.
The sizzling brownie was a complete disaster—it was over-burnt, dry, and bitter, making it almost inedible. Even the presentation was poo

They do not talk nicely and are not cooperative. When we complained for the food. Their reaction was very ignorant and did not even reply with a sorry they should be more cooperative, and the food was very disappointing. As per the prize, the food is not at all good We also ordered Mancha soup which was very thick and cold. Please do not visit this place. Worst place for South Indian food. Only the ambience is good, but you are not at all treated well. Please avoid this place for your next dinner. The staff is not at all We did not even get a sorry after so much. Please do not visit. We had ordered Chutney. It was a lot of salt. Do not come

It is over hyped. After watching the reel on Instagram,  I visited Govinda's restaurant. I ordered their signature dish (pizza) called as "Harinaam Chintamani". I was very excited for the dish. But all the excitement converted to disappointment after taking few bites. It was with thick bread base and so tasteless that I had with TOMATO KETCHUP to finish the meal.

We have been ordering for years, n it s sad when they don't take ownership for  very badly made Pizzas! No salt or flavouring, dry n burnt!!! N we ve let it it go in the past as bad days can happen but this is one too many!!!

Had an amazing candlelight dinner experience! Every dish was super delicious 😋. Don't miss their special wood-fired pizza 🍕 and the amazing thali 🍽️. The staff was super supportive and the service was super quick! 🌟 Highly recommend! 🙌

The food ordered was tasty. Good place for a family outing. The gupchup icecream is their signature sweetdish and it's a treat to eyes and a roller coaster ride for taste buds.

Good place for veggie food without onion garlic. Indian, continental and Chinese food. Decor is all woodwork and looks elegant. Small lift inside leads up to 1st floor dining area.

Very disappointed with the service. Firstly called for paneer butter masala, it was  a yellow gravy (which should be red)

Then called for tomato uttapam, the entire tomato layer was charged (burnt and bitter in taste)

Thirdly called for pahadi paneer tikka, they served soya tikka.

Very slow service, but most of all, had heard a such great reviews but very bad experience.

Upper section vrindavan restaurant is too good ambience.
