Went over to Sagar Ratna for breakfast and as promised, the place was open and ready to accept customers at 0800 on a Saturday morning. The seating was limited, as they have some renovation going on on the top floors. We ordered Mixed Veg Uthappam (275/-), Thatte idli (230/-) which was soft and fluffy, Bengaluru Benne Podi Masala (245/-) which was again crispy and made in butter, Bengaluru Benne masala dosa (245/-), Medu vada (205/-)which was crispy and good, and rice idli (170/-). We also had filter coffee (120/-) which appeared costly. The ambience was cosy and simple. Parking was ample considering the time. The toilet was possibly under renovation but we were allowed access and use of the facility at their North Indian restaurant, which is nearby. The toilet was clean. The service was top class with Vishal being very attentive and ready to suggest, without being overbearing. Go for it, if you like South Indian fare.
