Beware!!! You can be cheated...Had been here couple of times. First time went to get rakhis n they sneaked in one faulty rakhi during packing. The thought maybe I picked it up.
Few days back had a similar experience with chess set. They showed us very old sets n one of them was crystal set. We tried to check that and somehow slipped through my hand n shopkeepers hand at same time and just touched the table. Got a minor crack on the edge of chess board. Even though it was both of us mistake, I chose to pay this set with the same price they bought (as this was pretty old n didnt want to buy actually). I paid the amount n when I opened the set, I found few pawns n bishops were broken. I went to shop to showed them and explained what happened n why I bought this. Initially they were hesitant to agree on this and when asked upon the guy who sold this, they asked us to pay more to replace broken pieces. We explained only thing which taken out was chess board n we checked pawns at home only. Still they were asking us to pay more. I understood what they tried to do:
Shopkeeper who was showing us intentionally dropped board (which was broken already) and convinced us board is broken n we bought the whole chess. Pieces inside chess board was also broken n they didnt show us while packing. One of my society friend also shared similar story. I would caution everyone n check items before buying. Cheated twice...
