Palada Payasam Recipe

Ingredients

-Naturals Malai Ice Cream - 800 ml
-Soaked Ada Rice - 1/4th cup
-Ghee- 1tbsp
-Cashews - 2 tbsp
-Raisons - 2 tbsp
-Almonds - 2 tbsp

Method

- Add 800 ml of Naturals Malai Ice Cream to pot and once it melts, add the soaked Ada Rice and allow it to cook for 15- 20 mins on low heat with occasional stirring, till the rice is cooked and payasam thickens. Add a spoonful of ghee and mix well.
- Garnish with dry fruits

Here’s my version of the Viral Gulkand Coconut Modak made with Naturals Malai ice cream. It tasted sooo good.

Ingredients:

Desiccated coconut – 75 gms
Ghee – 3 tbsp
Naturals Malai ice cream – 3 scoops
Cardamom powder- ½ teaspoon
Gulkand - 2 tbsp
Rose essense - 1/4 tsp

Instructions
Heat 1 tablespoon ghee in a heavy bottom kadhai on low heat.
Add desiccated coconut and roast on low heat for 2-3 minutes until it gives a nutty aroma.
Add 3 scoops of Naturals Malai ice cream.
Cook, stirring continuously, until the melted ice cream is absorbed by the coconut.
Add rose essence and ½ teaspoon cardamom powder.
Mix and cook until the mixture comes together, forms a dough-like consistency, and stops gripping the sides of the kadhai.
Switch off the flame and transfer the mixture to a bowl.
Grease your palms with a little ghee, take some mixture, put it in the modak mould, adding 1/4 tsp gulkand in between.
Press and shape the modak & enjoy!
